Would I be correct in thinking that you work for Arthur J Gallagher? Had it had not been for retirement, that's where I would have ended up.

Marsh is another name which could have figured on my CV. I worked at CT Bowring from 1975 to 1979 but moved on before they became part of the Marsh empire soon afterwards. We occupied a couple of floors in Bank House overlooking the churchyard and next door to what was Rackhams. Those were good days for me.

Insurance can be a small world! Lunchtimes were always in nearby pubs the Trocadero or the Windsor. There were another couple which I believe no longer exist: the Brown Derby and the Hole In The Wall. It was a bit dodgy after the IRA pub bombings but it didn't deter our liquid lunches and debating the fortunes of the Villa, Blues, WBA and Wolves. :)
Hello, Clive Holes here

I have a nephew called Ronald, I do not know if you are referring to him. He was a French Language teacher, but I think now he has retired. I saw him lately as his parents died within a few days. First my brother Philip, who was his father, and then his mother Catherine.
