I've just read the E & S article where Staale has cited the mentality of the team as a whole as the main reason for our sluggish start to the season.
"Teams have murdered us – we have been bullied a little bit and we have to make sure that doesn’t happen and be stronger."...
Hi , can anyone help me i am looking for "old" match reports from Sporting Star Football Pink,Express & Star etc covering Wolves games 1967 to 75. Or any Scrap Books covering said seasons.
Regards.
Phil.
"there's still 24 points to play for"
"we are working on things in training"
"if xyz can do it so can we"
"the lads are focusing on Bolton."
Save it. We don't want to know. Just win some games.
who do we reckon will be apologising or telling us there is 15 cup finals to go etc...
fed up of all this talk from the top to the players
lets do our talking on the pitch for once instead of the pressroom
we're sounding like audley harrison right now
I can't create a link to it, sorry. But in it he talks about Anthony Forde joining Keane, Murray, Lescott, and Hennessey in Wolves academy players to have played in the Prem, only Murray and Hennessey to do it with Wolves. Am I right in thinking this is wrong? Were Naylor, Andrews, Clyde and...
I know their low-grade journalism is no secret, but in the 'Transfer Rumours' section this morning they reported that James McFadden was training with Blues. By this point, The Independent had already reported about him being on trial with us since Monday. E&S then went on to release the story...

The word "WILL" Worries me to be honest. I know its only the e&s but its in the rumour section and id be more inclined to believe those as they have been more accurate then nash.

The Headline - Mick McCarthy: Wolves will get physical
The quotes -

They've just done a feature on the new stadium on skysports news and although it's in a different league to the withdean it looks a bit, well rubbish.
Massive gaps in the corners with no seats, looks like it's half finished yet that's the design.
Makes you grateful for what new molineux will...
I think that most on here are unfairly critical of Tim Nash
He has alot of copy to file to fill the paper as our club is the main sporting focus of our City's newspaper.
The club offer him no help, provide him with no inside inof at all. So it is very difficult for him to satisfy his editor...
On Monday 13th "Wolves step up pursuit of Roger Johnson" headline.
Just two days later, it is snook in to todays Wolves "imminent double signing" report that 'Roger Johnson is not a target'.
Dear dear, their reputation seems to be getting worse and worse.:turtle:
'Now comes another tough trip to London to play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night but Stearman believes that, as long as Wolves keep performing, their luck will change.'

Very interesting video interview on the E & S website with Big Ron and Darren Moore. All seem to think that Fletcher is a good signing but seem to have doubts about our midfield particularly if we play 4 4 2 which is apparently how Mick has indicated he wants to play this season.
I know Mick is only answering questions that are put to him, but I'm wondering if Doyle has a minimum release fee clause similar to the £6.5M one that allowed us to get him from Reading?

Just typical poor reporting (well, headlining) we have to put up with - and cling onto - during the January transfer window.
