To be fair if that happens,he deserves all the abuse that he gets. We will not go up without 3/4 new players. At least 2 defenders !

I don't Think Stale is the type to panic buy. He obviously has targets but it's not easy to get them in.

There is no quick fix to the mess we are in but lets be fair were in a better shape than most clubs.

If we dont bring any defenders in I will be disgusted. We also need a playmaker and winger to replace Jarvis.

There's no excuses as we can use loan system to make signings outside of the window

It's not for lack of trying though is it?? Would you prefer he just signs someone for the hell of it?

Moxey needs to tell our top players' suitors that they have until X days before deadline day to do a deal which meets our club's valuation of these players or Wolves will DEFINiTELY not sell them in this window. That is the only way to ensure we have time to spend some of that money, which also requires that we have targets well-researched and aware of our interest.

The headlines will be as quoted earlier, " Missed targets with targeted players to blame for changing their minds at the last minute , followed by happy with the squad in a young and hungry approach with players like Forde coming through and then "there will be money to spend in a January warchest " should we need it, along with "Rome wasnt built in a day" and it will take time etc etc blah blah.

Excuses, he's not getting paid to try. If option A or B aren't available you go for C & in the mean time you $$$$ing organise the players you've got.

That amature defending has nothing to do with style of play or players gettting used to his way, it was just a lack of confidence, class & composure which should have been sorted out on July the 1st.

I think that Mr. Wolf is just a little bit impatient!

The safest way to survive being a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan is to expect nothing...................and then you won't be disappointed.

The nightmare would be something like;
Michael Gray and Marcus Bent in shock returns, Elokobi signs 4 year contract extension, Siggurdarson out for season and finally Wolves in loan moves for Mancienne and out-of-favour Andy Keogh.

In which case he'd be lying &/or as stupid as certain posters on here because we CAN sign players ON LOAN until October

Surely he knows how much he has to spend by now?
If not why not?

That date should have been mid July.

If the used car salesman is sure he will get what he wants for Fletcher and Jarvis why doesn't he give Stale's share up front? Try being proactive rather than reactive at inflated prices.

Agreed. Don't get this constant desire to bitch about the club, CEO and owner. Everyone's allowed an opinion but the window is nowhere near closed yet and Solbakken has commented on the need to bring in a couple more players a fair few times.

It's the football manager syndrome. Everyone thinks they know best and can sign 10 players a season!

The transfer window should close at least 2 weeks before the start of the season or else just don't have a window at all. What is it achieving having it close 3 weeks into the new season? This needs looking at by the authorities urgently. It's ridiculous how various parties are allowed to behave and, indeed, how they're incentivised to behave. It's also not a level playing field either. This is getting worse and causes massive disruption. I'm surprised after the Torres and Carroll farce last year it wasn't looked at to be honest.
