A defeat by the ****e, at the moment, could see us invite Saunders back FFSCould a defeat at the hands of WBA see him out?
His point is quiet? Moot methinks that you mean. I would have thought that someone of your education would at least know the correct word to use. Capital letters and punctuation help too.... Just saying....It is an honorary thing mate, he didn’t study for it. It was free advertising and exposure for the uni, a lot of universities offer them out.
so your point is mute
But two of them specialise in rugby union. The issue with Nuno is he got a doctorate from Wolverhampton university which I believe is only a paltry 58 rank for sports for science hence why I think he's useless and we should sack him. Any properly ran club would employ someone with a doctorate from the top 3 ranked univerisites in my opinion.
It is what I meant and phone predictive text changed it and I didn’t check so my error. It is a forum so I am not going to give it full grammar checks, but correcting an argument based on flawed logic I would say is more important. His point is quiet? Moot methinks that you mean. And replace him with whom? We are lucky to have him. And COVID means he does not get to see his family. Can’t blame him for looking down...We all adore the man, but he looks tired & dejected and our ‘identity’ seems to have evaporated.
With Covid, not seeing his family and no fans... results slipping... has Nuno lost heart?
Whatever happens he gave me the best 3 years of my Wolves life.
As sports to be played yes they do, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have lecturers or guest speakers from the FA, ECB, British cycling to teach it for all sports as students on the course will have played/play or coach other sports to rugby. But two of them specialise in rugby union.
Never heard of Wolves FC (a personal bugbear of mine) but otherwise wholly agree at present.Since joining Nuno has done a brilliant at wolves fc and for me it would be ludicrous to even consider his position at the club.

Rfu, ecb and the fa senior figures regularly hold seminars at the best 3 mate. But two of them specialise in rugby union.
Apologies then, may want to use my laptop and not my phoneIt is my first language and, for whatever reason (crap formatting?), made very little sense to me either.
Alright, calm down BAWSmy honours degree in sports science from a top 3 global leader in the subject where I specialised in coaching and psychology with lectures by top people from the FA, RFU and ECB might beg to differ that I don’t know much......
Rfu, ecb and the fa senior figures regularly hold seminars at the best 3 mate.
It’s ok, I do an old team mate used to say it too often and to see it made me smile hahaAlright, calm down BAWS
(sorry, if you know, you know)
That's actually pretty impressive mate. Could anyone of any age do this pending acceptance of course? They certainly do, but they do more stuff to students than the paid for seminars through the year.
They also give the students the chance to do internships and paid for coaching course by themselves, not a service offered to the seminar attendees.
It was posted tongue in cheek. As sports to be played yes they do, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have lecturers or guest speakers from the FA, ECB, British cycling to teach it for all sports as students on the course will have played/play or coach other sports to rugby.
You are educated on the sporting spectrum as a whole and it isn’t focused on one sport, So when you learn about coaching, biomechanics, training methods and styles of learning it is non sport specific and the lead coaches and educators from those sports may use analogies from their sport they still speak on their subject and how to implement and interpretation for all sports not just their own.
But What don’t you understand that HE CHOSE to built a small squad in the most physically demanding league and didn’t build enough depth...... he knew the physical demands would be greater due to less recovery time and that is on him!!! Bar podence, the other injuries are muscular and look likely to have been caused by over use and fatigue. So that is solely resting at HIS door.
He didn’t add more quality he sold SIXTEEN goals and didn’t replace them and HE CHOSE to only have one senior striker, a receptor for disaster we all knew could happen. He replaced jota in the squad with Silva, a great prospect but not ready yet despite showing glimpses, jota going meant we only have THREE wide options instead of four, and with podence injured we only have two and Neto is knackered.
I understand the current options aren’t good enough but that is due to his planning and lack of foresight on the fact he didn’t add quality to the squad, he wanted 19 senior pros and to use the under 23’s. if you have ever listened to nuno or read an interview he has said this MANY times, so the plan has backfired.
plans and expectations on timescales can and do change due to the success of them if they are reached quickly.
I know, but others will jump on it to take the ****. So just thought to hell with it I am in too deep now hahaIt was posted tongue in cheek.
The squad is 19 players, the rest of the league have between 22 and 25 I believe. So yes it is a small squad.Small squad? Two senior GK's, 9 defenders (many of who can play in midfield ) and 9 midfielders/ attackers. Some seniors and some young and upcoming. A normal mix for most clubs certainly optimum for a club with our revenues.
Doc did great but was limited and a hopeless RB. Jota was great, a sore miss but Neto is a year off his standard.
Agree about the striker but many good teams play with a false 9. Two senior strikers with Fabio in development is a great luxury but I am not averse to attacking midfielders putting the goals in. As such the lack of goals is not down to us not having two senior strikers.
The plan hasn't backfired at all given the injury list and the way the bench has performed.
Sorry, couldn’t resist the joke. It’s ok, I do an old team mate used to say it too often and to see it made me smile haha
simply said it as again being told because I am not on the happy nuno in bus I know nothing about wolves or footy. Just defending myself that’s all, as then people jump on the take the **** band wagon. My own fault for over sharing, but simply showing that just because I disagree doesn’t make me less of a fan or stupid.
Reckon Jeff could get nuno on one to make us less boring? If you have the right A levels or equivalent and have played or coached in a sport to a high enough level, then yes.
infact Pwolf, we had students who were 35 and 28 years old on our course. They were great support as one had an amazing knowledge of rehab techniques and biomechanics.
Apply mate, I loved doing them and my course. Good luck
Mate, as I said it really made me smile as I only ever heard it in jest so only took it that way. Honestly my wife wanted know what was funny.Sorry, couldn’t resist the joke.
100% agree with all you’ve said. We’ve been poor for a while and it’s more than the odd occasion where Nuno’s in game management and negativity has caused us to drop points. That’s ok though, we were playing Port Gillinglisle North End not so long ago, so we should just be happy and clap along like seals.
My feelings exactly. There’s nothing more than I want to see him getting it right, but not talking about what’s blatantly visible because apparently it makes you less of a fan is ridiculous. It’s cult behaviour.Mate, as I said it really made me smile as I only ever heard it in jest so only took it that way. Honestly my wife wanted know what was funny.
I simply think we have stepped up a level so quickly that we have to re-address what is seen as good and bad. As no doubt fosun have done behind the scenes.
People ignore that I say, I have loved and do still love nuno, but I support wolves and want my club to continue thrive more than nuno. Even
Though I feel as I do, I would be sad to see him go and forever appreciate the journey he took us on. I want only success for him in the future, but sadly the writing is on the wall if you look objectively at the team and remove the emotion and love for nuno.
Who knows, but he would smash the large majority of the course with a first as he is a smart and well read coach. I know people who taught him on his coaching badges and they said he was one of the best people they have had go through.Reckon Jeff could get nuno on one to make us less boring?
Bang on, I think I might be the lone “idiot” who tries to argue that haha.My feelings exactly. There’s nothing more than I want to see him getting it right, but not talking about what’s blatantly visible because apparently it makes you less of a fan is ridiculous. It’s cult behaviour.
I have always trusted Nuno implicitly, he is a great manager who has done brilliantly for us. HOWEVER when we sold Jota in particular and Doherty and he said 'trust me' I had my first doubts. What has followed has confirmed those doubts. £35m on Silva seems crazy as he is a step too early in his development to be any use to us for at least two years and £30m or more on Semedo looks like very bad business. Marcal looked a bargain but had previous injury problems. Hoever, a solid buy and like the look of him but not yet ready. Ait -Nouri plenty of hype when we bought him. Only 19 - perhaps it will work out. Vitinha - potentially £16m or so? Nothing seen yet to justify such a figure. Overall we are weaker and it is not all down to injuries. The bad injury to Jiminez just emphasised the poor business done and the the thinness of the squad.
Nuno has to pull this out of the fire. Once things slide it is difficult to halt the downward momentum. I trust him to do so. But I hope he and the club have learnt some lessons.
, I have loved and do still love nuno, ... but sadly the writing is on the wall if you look objectively at the team and remove the emotion and love for nuno.
Well, how about that! But obviously mine isn't.But do they know more, explain your rationale???
It isn’t twaddle, they are real events, real things that happened.
and for many of you, welcome to the modern world of sport as a business as that is how we are run in the prem. where you make sure any asset you have invested in doesn’t leave for free.
my honours degree in sports science from a top 3 global leader in the subject where I specialised in coaching and psychology with lectures by top people from the FA, RFU and ECB might beg to differ that I don’t know much......
my opinion is as valid as anyone else’s, and doesn’t make me less of a fan. Just a fan with a different perspective to you.
It is, but it is called debate. I haven’t said your opinion means nothing or less, or questioned your fan status have I? Please show me where in my post I did as I clearly haven’t. I simply welcomed you into the world I have studied that sport at the top level is a business based on protecting assets as you dismissed my point as “twaddle”Well, how about that! But obviously mine isn't.
Thank you OLDGOLD.Some silliness on here really.
I think Leam is coming in for some undeserved stick.
Questions should be being asked of the management and team. My hope is that Nuno and the team address them.
Injuries...not at fault
Small squad... at least partly to blame.
Team set up and ethos ...totally to blame when it goes wrong, partly responsible when it works!
Use of subs....ditto
Etc etc.
There are things Nuno needs to improve on imo. I hope he can do it.
As a student of the science, how do you feel the lack of preseason has affected the players physically/mentally? From what I can tell those with a longer summer break started the season better, apart from utd, who have a decent squad, not just first 11.Thank you OLDGOLD.
i am not attacking nuno the man or his legacy......
just the current nature of what I am seeing and the fact the team isn’t improving and he is making the same frustrating mistakes.
i am just of the opinion we need to do something as these are good players who have two seventh place finishes and playing well for the countries in games this season. They didn’t become bad players over night and the system and tactics aren’t working and some of the in game choices for subs and changes to approach last night are frankly woeful.
I feel it has impacted significantly, and in one of my responses in this or another thread, I said that nuno should have increased his size of the squad to accommodate this. He chose not to do so.As a student of the science, how do you feel the lack of preseason has affected the players physically/mentally? From what I can tell those with a longer summer break started the season better, apart from utd, who have a decent squad, not just first 11.
But you blamed Nuno for lack of signings, are you advocating signing players for the sake of it?I feel it has impacted significantly, and in one of my responses in this or another thread, I said that nuno should have increased his size of the squad to accommodate this. He chose not to do so.
from what we know, only podence and Jimenez are outwith an impact injury, so as I said the rest are out due to overload/over use injuries. That sits with nuno for not increasing squad size to have more senior ready options. You can’t help an impact injury but an overuse injury yes you can.
He signed marcal as a player, who had widely known injury concerns, so again it isn’t a surprise he is broken down again. But it was decision nuno made to carry a player who cannot remain fit for long periods in a season where you need to count on every player to give options of rotation or cover for injury or to give rest to the front line players.
Look at neto Last night and late into the United game, he is absolutely out of gas and needs a break, but people want to attack me rather than look at the fact we only have three wide options where last season we had four. So one injury to podence like now instantly increases the game time and physical demands on adama and Neto. Both players with games based on sprinting and explosive action and also gives them less recovery and option of rest due to fatigue or drop in form. So at a time when they started the season with less rest and already needing a break they cant be given one.
I made this point earlier, that is based in research and fact and just got attacked as anti nuno. No
I simply present a different perspective based on accepted science.
