Wednesday 4th October

Dexter Lembikisa played 90 minutes as Rotherham lost 2-1 in a dramatic close to their home game vs Bristol City. Seems Dexter is getting a lot of praise for his attacking intent, but criticism for his defensive side recently. Could have given a penalty away last night as well as being caught out for Bristol's winner

Half of them are unused subs. Very disappointing.
It's perhaps a little disappointing that Campbell and Cundle aren't starting, but for players like Pond and Griffiths I think we need to accept that competing for first team places, being in matchday squads and training with their first team squads will be really good for them.

I suspect Cundle will get a run in the team this season anyway: he did start the season but lost his place. He comes on almost every game though, and has scored from the bench.

Thursday 5th October

Yerson Mosquera played 90 mins, his 28th appearance of the season as Cincinnati lost 2-1 at home to NY Red Bulls

Well discussed on the dedicated thread, however Daniel Podence played 62 mins and scored again and also assisted again as Olympiacos drew 2-2 away at TSC. That's Daniel's 4th goal and 2nd assist in 6 games

Bendeguz Bolla played the final 27 mins as Servette lost 4-0 away at Roma. Bolla came on with the scoreline already at 4-0

Tuesday 10th October

Chem Campbell played his first 90 mins in a Charlton shirt as they beat Aston Villa u21s 4-2. That was Chem's 6th appearance although he's been starved of minutes recently, only 1 4 mins appearance in the previous 4 games

Tyler Roberts wasn't in the Doncaster squad as they lost 3-2 away at Mansfield

Ollie Tipton made his first Notts C start, playing 71 mins as they lost 2-1 to Derby. Both teams are in Wolves u21's group

Harvey Griffiths played 63 mins as Walsall lost on penalties to Forest Green after drawing 1-1.

Alfie Pond played 90 mins, his first for Stockport, as they beat Salford 3-1 away. Alfie was also booked

Stan Amos played 90 mins and kept a clean sheet in the JW Hunt Cup beating AFC Bentley 4-0

Going to be interesting to see what decision will be made about Yerson in December. Has he progressed to or near Premiership level? Will he come back in January to join the squad or be loaned out again?

Have we got a foreign spot for him.....that's the question.....he has passed the age nw where he will need naming .....got nothing against Yerson but do we need another defender naming in the squad.......could take Jonny place I suppose but I think we have 1 place available and my hope for January is that is filled with a striker addition....

If we're playing a back three he's probably a better shout for a spot than Jonny (assuming we can move him on)/

He’s done well and I like him … ready for the prem? Not for me.

I’d like to see a 6 month loan to the championship… will be a stiff test for him and a chance to show what he’s made of

Of course he can stay and play in the FA cup but that relies on a run and we’re not brilliant at that

He’s got all the attributes to be a top defender - I’d bring him back to the squad, but I also wouldn’t complain about a loan to the championship.

Be interesting to see how Yerson has progressed. He has the physical attributes to be a good defender he’s big, quick, powerful and tough but in the u23s he always looked very raw and rash, made a lot of mistakes that he got away with due to the level. Always reminded me of a centre back version of Ronald Zubar.

Personally think a bit like Campana he’ll be a player we will never see in the first team but will make a few quid on in a sale and have the protection of a sell on clause.

Yerson played a minute for Colombia yesterday, looks like his keeper was sent off? Still only 22. Could he just walk right in when Cincinnati is done?

Yerson's positioning was poor for the wolves u23s. He needs more experience in a better league before he returns.

I’ve always thought one day we could see a back 3 of:

Mosquera- Killman - Toti

I think that could suit Killman, and real pace either side allowing for a high defensive line.

23 games isn't enough. Next to test him in a better league than mls.

Surely that’s what he’s done this year?
Looks like , injury and suspension aside, he walked into the starting 11 and kept his place for the #1 team in the standings- one of the stingiest defences as well. Played well enough to get called up for Colombia.

Don’t get me wrong, haven’t watched a second and don’t know anything about MLS, but you can’t tell me he’d be worse at RCB than Jonny or Doc and he’s likely a better RB too. Because I have seen them play this year. Have to give him a good look before sending him off again.

Perfect use of the MLS. He played from last Feb straight through until now, where else was he going to do that? I think Mrs Guo needs an MLS team.

A thread dedicated to “international round up” of our players would be good..

Now, who would be good at starting and updating such a thread……….
