I'd imagine 50 mill (or something in that ball park) was always the price

The 35 came from a random report at the beginning of the summer and has been parroted ever since.

For 50 million, everyone shakes hands and wishes well imo. From all the snippets of insider info we have had, it doesn't seem like Neves wants to be at Wolves anymore. 50 million is adequate recompense

Yesterday, talkSPORT [who more often than not talk crap to get clicks and views] said we were willing to sell for around £35m. This followed a rumour from around a month ago which claimed Arsenal were about to sign him for said fee. Everyone on Twitter took it as gospel. Arsenal have since spent £70m on a CB that can play DM and an actual DM.

Today, Duncan Castles [who more often than not talks crap to get more listeners on his podcast] said our asking price is £50m. Everyone on Twitter is taking it as gospel.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

If he's to go, £50m would sound about right and wouldn't feel like we were being mugged off.

I think the first figure was dreamt up by the media to get the story moving a bit quicker.
