Today's Games 2022-23.

Something occurred to me when Chloe Kelly pulled her shirt off after scoring the winner. Do top women not wear the same performance and biometric measuring kit that the men do (hence the bra lookalikes that they wear) or is it built into their sports bras?

First game I’ve seen and sick of the antics already

Player taking a throw walks onto the pitch to go down injured

Pretty tough to watch, this game. Maybe that goal will spark it to life.

That would be cross examined for another 5 minutes in the Premier League.

A perfectly legitimate goal that no one would have batted an eyelid at before the VAR maniacs decided to ruin the game.
Was thinking the same, it’s close but if you’re the defenders you’re not screaming for a blatant offside. Linesman says it’s onside, so give the goal and get on with it.

It's easy to say 'get on with it' with VAR when it's Watford vs Sheffield United.

If Leeds score an offside goal on Saturday to go 1-0 up I don't care if we have to wait ten minutes as long as it's rightly disallowed.

What an absolute bag of stink that game was. Awful watch. Sky trying to hype it up and it was total *******s

I wouldn’t mind . Honestly such a joke the whole VAR system

What’s this ****ing annoying **** with people hanging their tongues out when they have their photos taken ? Just ****
Off you daft ****s

The Championship table taking shape. Millwall and Hull top and Baggies out of the play-off places. :D

Hang on I thought Zinchenko left City cause he wanted to play midfielder more, guess where Arsenal are playing him.

Is it just me, or is that bench a bit average for a club that have spent £270m in the past 12 months or so and just shy of £500m in the past 4 season?

Even their starting eleven really doesn't instil any fear. Zinchenko isn't really much of an upgrade, Jesus was a bit of a flop at Man City, mediocre midfield... be very, very surprised if they finish in the top four this season.

Average is being kind I think.
I was feeling generous!

I didn’t want to go too over board with how naff it is and trigger comments about our own likely bench tomorrow (although we haven’t spent £560m they have in the time since we were promoted).

It’s frightening how much money teams spend and don’t seem to actually spend it well. Arsenal, Villa, Everton are three good examples, but the likes of Chelsea, Utd, City even spend huge on players who make little or no impact.

Palace realise this is an actual league game and isn’t just another preseason friendly, right?

Arsenal like the top six version of us.

This XI can give most a game but, as someone mentioned above, they lack the depth so any injuries and top 4 a tough ask.

Palace look a shadow of last season without Gallagher. Shows how important a dominant midfielder is.
