That’s why I’m watching the championship game. No VAR to ruin it. It finished 3 - 3, but Ipswich missed a great chance in the last minute.

Full bloodied challenges and breathless end to end action with no concern about any upcoming 3 minute pause for the ref to masturbate over a video while thousands look on with dead eyes. Refreshing.

He certainly was. He knew what was at stake and let the game flow. It was a very entertaining game, and the referee played his part.

I think like others have said, that’s what’s wrong with Var. Real time it looked a push, but the referee was looking straight at it, and gave nothing. Once he does that, Var should keep their mouth shut. It’s not a clear and obvious error and the referee wasn’t unsighted. They’re just re refereeing it which is the one thing they said they weren’t gonna do. What was it Baldy said, high bar?!

Onana penalty against Burnley which was very similar to the opening match of the season, when he clattered Sasa. This time, it went to VAR who awarded a penalty. No consistency!
