Yes it would.

Two countries get a 5th Champions League spot, which, if England is one, means 8th gets Conference League - if a side in the top 8 wins the FA Cup.

This is the only way 8th gets Europe.

As it stands, Italy are almost nailed on to get one of those two spots.

The second is between Germany and England, and it's expected to be close. So West Ham beating Freiburg was massive.

Ideally want tough draws for the German sides left as well and English sides to keep progressing.

There was a time when a goal for a spirited team with a great fan base, who are getting mullered, would be greeted with a positive reaction from the commentators. Motty, Beglin all would have been kind enough to do so.
