The sensible answer is to wait for the window to play out for better or for for worse. To hell with sensible!

It’s actually the most unpredictable we’ve been since our first season back.

On the worrying side, we have an untried new defensive shape (except for a couple of occasions under Nuno which, from memory, weren’t the best advert for a back 4!), a lack of reinforcement in midfield (as it stands today) and a bench that (again, as it stands) is somewhat overpopulated with young ‘uns.

On the other hand, we are giving youth a chance and the evidence from preseason and training points towards a more positive, attacking approach.

And that’s the thing. Our new shape and approach coupled with the current lack of bolstering is … risky. I think there will be more goals… just at both ends!

I consider us “solidly lower-mid table” at the moment.

As things stand 10th-14th.
Still hoping we will add a couple of players before 1st Sept.

12th with the signings I believe incoming and no injuries.

However if my faith is not repaid and the wrong injuries could lead to relegation.

Very fine lines.
I agree,very fine lines
Good to hear Bruno expects incomings in next few weeks,we certainly need them
Quality in and i expect mid table,if not we could really struggle
So ill go 12th to 16th as we stand and a lot of luck

Apologies for the lack of expectations here but I think about 14th. I was wrong last time so hopefully I’m wrong again and we do better. We can do better but we are thin on the ground.

I'm thinking 16th or 17th. I think we needed to sign 5 new players who are able to spend a full preseason with the team.

Was thinking we'd be better than Leeds, Brentford, Southampton and the promoted teams, but not so sure any more.

Hopefully we'll have enough to stop up.

you might get something on the 8 quid. But I fear , even with our new acquisitions, that we are not top 6 level yet. Competing for a top 10 place , sure. Worth a punt though , so fair play.

8th/9th still need goals, Nunes/Guedes will help.

But need that front man to be fed into.

I want to see a fully firing raul, if he doesnt do it this year i thinks hes on the chop.

Cant wait to see Silva in 2023 genuinely
