    I remember the ferry Bergen > Newcastle, but it's not operating anymore, it's been a while since they shut is down. I usually go from Oslo to Birmingham by plane these days.

    That's fair enough and a more than definitive answer.
    Away colours tend to pose more problems, though; with the intrusion of lemon day-glo into the trim etc. Myself, I've always favoured the white/black/white away strip but I can see the merits of the Waterloo powder-blue colours.

    The club colours are gold and black - they are defined as such in all the major handbooks, Sky (ex Rothmans), Playfair, News of World (now Nationwide).
    Old gold was dropped after the 1953-4 championship win and the club switched to gold.
    This is confirmed in Old Gold Glory (page 52) and Peter Broadbent Biography (page 10).
