Should've won that, Nuno has to take responsibility for the dropped points. Utterly ridiculous to not start with the 3-4-3.

1) Another poor first half. Simply not good enough. I understand this is a defensively minded set up, but how predictable can we be? The left side is ineffective, and with Traore + Doc down the right, it's quite easy to contain the right side knowing nothing will come through the middle.

2) What is the point of VAR if the replay shows the pulling yet no pen given? **** off.

We didn't deserve three points anyways. Another case of playing down to the opposition's level, as has been the case in the Nuno era.

It feels like a big missed opportunity .
One positve is we extend the unbeaten run to 8 games.

It’s got nothing to do with us turning up second half it’s the formation change to 3 up top
Playing Doherty centre back as well? His game is attacking something he can’t do in the back 3. It’s like playing Adama in goal

Yep, agree with the OP. Nuno got pretty much every decision wrong today, including taking Jota off when he started going past players for fun. I can only assume it’s part of his comeback, but he looked like he had another 15 minutes in him.

Brilliant 2nd half performance all in all. Awful 1st half.

In Nuno’s defence, we have to conserve some energy. It’s a busy schedule.

The team changes with LD at CB. Much more fluid going forward.

Should have started 3-4-3. Waste of Doherty to be playing centre-half.

Awful goal to concede but showed good character second half, particularly given our midweek excursions.

2 points from the last 2 games is a pretty average return against two of the worst sides in the division.

MoM Adama. Neves and Moutinho very poor, as was Jonny up until the goal.

Patricio 6
Doherty 6
Coady 6
Saiss 6
Traore 7
Moutinho 5
Dendoncker 5
Neves 5
Jonny 6
Raul 6
Diogo 6

Neto 6
Vinagre N/A

Guess an away point is never bad but feels like a missed opportunity given how truly dreadful Newcastle were.

For a counter attacking team, regularly conceding the first goal is so incredibly frustrating. First half soporific. Second half big improvement.

On to the villa game.

Passing comment for traore who was fantastic when move alongside Jimenez and Jota. Really creates havoc. Much better with Doc in behind him. All our creativity came down the right.

Really should have won that game in the second half. The longer this pattern of game play continues the more sure I am that Nuno sets us up to contain in the first half and then try and get a goal in the second. Very dull to watch first halves however.

Two wins from our first ten games in the league. Not great, is it chaps? And what's worse: our style of play is boring to watch too often. Long gone is the label of entertainers; every game is a slog now.

Second half good and should have won - Doherty missed header and a clear pen on him (his shirt was being pulled and he was thrown to the ground) but not given by VAR. Missed the first half so no comment. Also not sure why Jota came off. Neto didn't do much at all. Well done Jonny for the goal - he played well again.

Dreadful first half, better second half.

Adama MOTM.

Doherty is not a RCB, Dendoncker is, Neto is no Jota and Raul needs a rest.

People keep asking why don't Wolves look tired after playing in Europe.
Unfortunately the answer seems to be that yet again we only turn up for the 2nd half.

Positives... we are not losing football matches and are still in Europa

Frustrating yes, but feel every first half at the minute is an exercise in preserving energy

Garbage for about 9 out of 10 league games this season. We should stay up but it's painful watching.

People expect too much from Wolves. We can't play full tilt Thursday-Sunday each week. There's a pattern where we're conserving energy playing more defensively first half then push in the 2nd. We created more than enough chances to win that game. Look how tired we looked at the end, no chance we could play like that for the full 90mins playing twice a week imo. Not with the small squad we have anyway.

I know Jonny scored but I can't see what he brings to the team defensively or attacking great finish but looks way way off the pace... U must have watched a different game if you thought he played well

Will Neves ever have a good game for us again?

This, this and this. So proud when people were talking about us last season. This season I just want to hide.

That's the problem... Small squad. Jimi is knackard and not far off an injury the way this is going

Nuno has far too much respect for weaker opponents and Coady looks like a lost puppy begging for forgiveness when he talks to the ref. We need to be far more ruthless in every aspect.

2 wins from 10 and 11th in the league so not too bad but could be a lot better if Nuno made better tactical decisions. Starting with the 3-5-2 with Doherty at RCB today was absolutely baffling.

Very much like the game against Bratislava. First half slow. Switch to 3-4-3 and we look a lot better. This time we just couldn't manage the winner. Hopefully, we will start with a 3-4-3 against the lower clubs in the future. The unbeaten run continues.

Traore man of the match. Looked dangerous and provided some good crosses.
