Maidstone through to the fourth round. Check out George's interview on football focus. Is there a nicer person in football ?
That would be a dream and what a reception George would get. Folk hero4th round tie at home against Maidstone anyone? Assuming we get through the replay, obviously!
He'd probably be tempted to make his comeback lol.....4th round tie at home against Maidstone anyone? Assuming we get through the replay, obviously!
Was it really a bad era. Promotion under McCarthy, 3 seasons in the Prem, and memorable victories over Man utd, Chelsea and others. Guess you weren't watching Wolves in the 80s and 90s?One of the most likeable players from a bad era.
I wonder if there could be a role here for him one day ?One of the most likeable players from a bad era.

We was never in the premier league in the 90s80s no, 90s yes.
It felt bad to me, being in the prem with Mick was absolutely grim because almost every time we played a big team we got absolutely battered.
I read something years ago from Ian Holloway about the reception that Kenny Hibbit recieved in the late 80s when they came to Molineux with Bristol Rovers……That would be a dream tie. When was the last time an opposition manager did a lap of honour?
Think you've misread the conversation there. We was never in the premier league in the 90s
I was there for that. He walked out of the tunnel and went straight over to the South Bank. Got a huge ovation.I read something years ago from Ian Holloway about the reception that Kenny Hibbit recieved in the late 80s when they came to Molineux with Bristol Rovers……

That first year I remember quite fondly.Think you've misread the conversation there.
Agree about the Mick era. Play off final was epic but was a slog in the prem with just a couple of good memories.
If I was a footballer I’d want to play for him.Fantastic effort from all. From what I have seen previously, Big George seems to be a decent manager.
Just heard him on 5LIVE -- he said he wanted to draw Wolves in the 4th round!!!
Really hope it happens.
What a legend
