It was a tricky old round, with half the participants not even breaking 20 points, but one fearless fellow laughed in the face of absurdity to claim his first Award of the season and third overall - and he did it in curious fashion. As those about him toiled, Contrarian racked up an incredible 37 points on Saturday alone, with three correct scores, two doubled, from 8 of 10 fixtures. He then managed to take no points from Sunday at all (you expect consistency from someone named Contrarian?), but his overnight lead was far too powerful to be overhauled.

Rincewind gave it a hearty try, reaching 33 points with 9 from Sunday's games, and hitting two correct scores, whilst Leominster Wolf returned to form with three correct to reach 30 points. Purplepault69 also got three correct, one doubled, to continue a recent run of impressive totals.

Numerous special mentions of the week, going to Lonewolf for Man City's 1-1, Leominster for Brighton's 3-2, Celebrity Wolf for Arsenal's 1-0, and Hicko for Rennes' 3-1. But also a word for Hicko spectacularly changing his mind from Bochum 114 Heidenheim 0 to 0-0, which also earned 5 points. Fine margins.

VAR have released audio recording of the incident, where the incorrect awarding of points was immediately challenged; upon asked whether the officials were aware of the final score of the Forest v Brighton game, responses ranged from "Yes" to "No" to "What game?" to "It's too late, the game's moved on, **** sake." VAR have issued a statement which reads "This is not a clear and obvious error, because theoretically the game WAS 1-3 at one point rather than 2-3, and it just depends on where you draw the timelines, innit?", and have proceeded to brandish a red card for Leominster Wolf for questioning Teh Authoriteh, despite being accurate, and also a yellow card for WolvesAndCows for being the first poster to post aggressively after Leominster's post.
