Joseph Joseph was another who disappeared and also there is the midfielder Lee McLoughlin who we never hear about and doesn’t appear on the official website but is apparently registered to us.

It's worth looking down the results to get an appreciation of the difference in levels between league football and u21 level, also, league teams don't tend to play their strongest sides.

Jack Scott and Christian Marques both played their 2nd games of this international break, Jack played the best part of a full match and was subbed off in the 3rd minute of injury time as Northern Ireland U21s beat Slovakia U21s 1-0.

Christian played 69 mins as Portugal u19s drew 2-2 with Czech Republic u19s

Not technically part of this thread as he’s very much a first team er but Ki-Jana Hoever made his Netherlands U21s debut coming on in the 83rd minute as they beat Moldova 3-0

Does anyone know if Pascal Estrada is on International duty? Not figured in our last couple of u23 games during the International break.

Not sure he's been called up for a squad for a few years - last time for U18s I think (but then much of the u18/u19 fixtures had been postponed for COVID etc.

Don't think he was called up as wasn't in the u19 or u21 squad. Austria don't field an u20s team anymore

Perhaps he's injured?

He looked "off it" in the last game I saw so might be carrying a knock or something.

Just seen the latest first team training pics and it seems most of our players are back in training now after the Internationals. One thing that I cant understand is the situation of Agboola. Training with the first team in full training but never seems to play for the u23's. Anyone have any idea why he never plays?

Also seems quite a few u23's and even u18's are training with the first team looking at the pics.

Mystery indeed but perhaps he’s not been a full pelt in pre season yet, or maybe this time perhaps we’re taking it ultra cautiously seeing as he’s had a succession of injuries… can’t blame them for that if so.

Physically he looks as big as Otasowie was.

Kai Corbett had 4 goals in 21 appearances for West Ham u23s and 5 in 11 for the u18s

he’s rejected a contract offer at West Ham as he feels he will get less playing time following a signing they made from Reading (Nevers?) so at least the lad is keen to play and progress

Interestingly the team tweet has now been deleted so wonder if a) it’s wrong or b) they were hoping to keep Kai paying quiet.

Corbett miss a great chance towards the end of the half, looked lively. As did Hesketh

Cundle looking a class above again and also another good impression from Griffith

Also thought Richards had a good half down the left hand side
