McCoist talking about Rice and Odergaard like they are two nobody's they got on free transfers, when saying Chelsea's midfield cost a quarter of a billion. Rice and Odegaard weren't peanuts

Not sure if it's already been mentioned, but has anyone else seen the new BBC Scores & Fixture webpage? It's crap! Doesn't show scorers or assists any more, unless you click and go to the individual match pages. Was better before. Sort it out BBC!

Agree. It's awful. Ruined it. No need for the massive badges either.

You’re literally literally not, that’s the point ffs!

The technology for offsides is NOT THE SAME as goal line tech and is nowhere near accurate enough to make the kind of decisions it did today!

Yes, and if offside tech is improved to the level where an automated offside system can get all decisions correct instantly, then that will reduce the use of VAR. Because there is no system that can detect whether penalty decision are correct.

As long as that automated offside system can decide whether a player is interfering with play or not. See, that is the problem with this obsession with using technology in football. Other than goal line tech, it always ends with a subjective decision made by a human.

Imagine if the money spent on VAR had been invested in improving the quality and number of referees in the game. If we had that, and perhaps used after match video evidence to clamp down hard on players who cheat, then we would never need VAR.

It’s dreadful. Less leagues covered as well. No mention of the National League north and south play-offs that were on the fixtures list earlier today.

I found it nauseating last week when TNT sport and the London based media made it seem like Arsenal were some heroic non-league team who made it to the FA Cup fifth round instead of some expensively assembled Premier League side who got schooled in the dug out and on the pitch by Bayern.

But they are both very, very good, while Chelsea have spent a fortune on absolute ****. Assume that’s the point he was trying to make.

Whilst disapproving of Arteta's touchline antics; the team that he has assembled are really good to watch. They are a much more-enjoyable side to watch than Liverpool and I'd argue, Man City. Odegaard is right up there with the most-influential midfielders in the country and Arteta now seems to be getting a tune out of Havertz. Goals galore from a number of players and strong at the back. They might just do it!
