Given there seems to be some consensus forming about who (when everyone is fit) constitutes our most effective first 11, who would you play on Wednesday night against the Blouse?

Do you give our players coming back from injuries game time or not risk them ahead of the game against the Villa at the weekend?

......posted this last week.

Will be an interesting team selection on national prime-time terrestrial Tele but with Villa 3 days later.

Could play a team that should beat a Championship team and still make 11 changes, something like

De Vries Doherty Elokobi Craddock Stearman Jonnson Milijas Hammill Hunt Doyle SEB

Had the game been on Tuesday I would have gone pretty much same team who started against spurs.
Due to there being a day less preparation for villa it's not worth risking the likes of fletcher and Jarvis in the first 11...by all means bring them on to win us the game near the end though.

We need to give Milijas playing time so that he may get some time on the pitch vs Villa. We will need him up to speed when we play Liverpool!

(If Craddock is fit, otherwise have to bring one of the first XI defenders in I guess

This, but I don't think Jody's fit so I'd play our new utility man Eggy there instead. No point risking a first teamer.

Wouldn't risk the likes of Fletcher and Jarvis before the Villa game (and wouldn't start Kightly or Foley three times in a week after long lay-offs). Thought that Milijas and Guedioura created lots of chances when played against Man City in the Carling Cup. Defensively a bit suspect but should be enough to beat Blues.

De Vries for Hen

Stearman for Berra

Hamill for Jarvis

Gued for Edwards

Doyle for Fletch

Resting our 3 key players in Hen, Jarvis and Fletch. Give Stears some game time in the middle and likewise with Gued, but keeping the nucleas of the side together. If it was Tuesday i would like to have seen the same 11 at spurs, blues and villa.

Play the kids its only Blues FFS

I'm with you there Edge - the cup's just a filler for the bread-and-butter. Give those 11 heroes from WHL a rest ...

For me it would be

De Vries

Doherty
Stears
Craddock
Elokobi

Hammill
Eggy
Milijas
Forde

SEB
Doyle

Still not a bad side right ?

A team of 2nd year Developmenters on the bench would be great - give Zele a chance - see what he can do ?

The team that played them at St. Andrews. Just drop Henry/Eggy and replace them with someone with an ounce of creativity.

Personally I think we should play with 5 in midfield and 1 up front, which is our best formation, generally. I would certainly play Stearman at centre back, because that is his position and he should be first in if one of Berra or Johnson get injured. Give Kightly a rest and play Hammill. Probably play Big George. Milijas must play for me as well.

That will do for me, but I would only play Milijas for 45 mins, I might want him at Villa??

Doyle and SEB confirmed starters, but we all knew than anyway really.

Fletcher will be rested. Johnson, Foley, Jarvis and Edwards all injured and will play no part.

The four injuries mentioned all have decent chance for weekend. But none were able to train 2day hence unavailable for game.

Before anyone panics.

Edwards isn't playing. Milijas could do with some game time or Guedioura. I don't think Kightly will be risked in this game with Hammill and Hunt available or Forde.

Forgot about Edwards' non involvement - so yes, I'd start Milijas.

With Kightly - i think extra game time would suit him - he can always be taken off after an hour or so.

Don' think we should look upon this game as a forgone conclusion. Can't see Blues coming to Molineux and not wanting to give a good account of themselves, especially in front of the TV cameras.

Definitely have Cradock running the show if he’s fit.

Not fancy watching one of our most consistent players this season ? Fair enough.

Did you watch him in the first game at Blues? His passing was dreadful.

I'm as STH and I find our football is easier on the eye when he isn't playing.

McCarthy says Edwards isn't playing because he was "goosed" after saturday. What they do on the team bus should stay on the team bus imo!

I think we should rest everyone who played on Saturday and get them ready for Villa

Lets play people who need a match to get fit like Milijas, Hammill, Gued, Craddock, Stears, Elokobi etc

it should be a 433/451 utilising players looking to make a claim for the first team. For gods sake give up on the pointless 442 that hasnt worked for us in three years.
