Wouldn't be surprised to see us flipping Trinaco to Sporting to go back to his former coach at braga for João Palinha and then have MGW take his position on the right wing. Really looking forward to seeing him next season. Really starting to put it all together now.

32 games 10 goals and 7 assists
Totally agree. IMHO MGW is much too good for Sheffield United.

I’m astounded nobody else seems willing to pay his 75 m release clause which is clearly an absolute bargain for him. Going on recent transfers a player of his age, ability and drive should be worth double that.
I read somewhere that the agent is likely to ask for around €40m, a signing on fee of €25m, and then massive wages. Still a massive transfer, just that was is saved on the potenrially higher transfer fee is going to player and agent. Can only see city, united, real or psg doing it.

3 high profile strikers possibly on the move and all in very good positions to ask what they want

Clubs could be getting wiser to the fact that most Bundesliga teams can't defend at all.

Bundesliga attackers tend to struggle outside Germany, as teams don't repeatedly play high defensive lines against pacy strikers:

Sancho
Werner
Pulisic
Jovic (La Liga)
Haller (Prem)
Joelinton
Mkhitarian (Prem)
Havertz

£430M in transfer fees

Bundesliga stats: P785 G261 A200
0.33 Goals/ Game, 0.25 Assists/Game
Other leagues: P453 G74 A57
0.16 Goals/Game, 0.12 Assists/Game

You don't get good value for money with attacking players from Germany.

Plenty said that VVD only looked good as he was playing in Scotland. If it was as obvious then how good he would be he wouldn’t have gone to Southampton.
He was only 23 when he went to Southampton, it was the perfect move for him to properly prove himself. He was a world-record transfer 18 months later.

Iv been doing some scouting all of these are 23 or under (realistic targets) which could be profitable for us or grasshoppers to groom them and move them on to us?

Andre Franco - CAM - free agent
Martim Neto - CM - free agent
Danny Motta - CF - free agent
Pepelu - DM - free agent
Robert Navarro - CAM - free agent
Danilho Doekhi - CB - free agent
German Berterame - CF - free agent

Does anyone know anymore about any of them I know linked with Neto not long back apparently scouting Franco too.

We were going to sign him from Northampton for £0.5m in 2014, but pulled out based on his medical. That window we signed Jordan Graham and Donovan Wilson. As a result of not signing Toney, we kept Leon Clark who he was due to replace.
Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing?
Anymore that failed medicals? Alan Gow lol

As referenced above, a most insightful and thoughtful post. Do think, however, that Haaland is different gravy. Interested in the pre-season market as to how many PL hat-tricks he will score. He'll frighten the living daylights out of some of the PL defences.

Rangnick says yanited buying 6, 7, 8 players in summer

Presume neves on their list?
They also need new owners and millions spent on Old Trafford.

Gary Neville said the stadium is falling apart!

How United are sixth in the Premier League with that group of players is totally bewildering. They are utter rubbish and have been for most of the season

Thought we had already ruled gibbs white out on here a couple of years ago ........
True and possibly for a decent reason. We all know the championship is a massive step down in quality. Trincao, Hwang and Fabio could even run riot in it (possibly)

And they will still be crap. They could buy all the top players in Europe, but without a coach with a clear vision, and time to implement it, they will just be an under performing group of overpaid players.

If they let Ten Haag actually do the rebuild he wants i think they will do well. If they do their usual of just signing good players without a thought of how to integrate them into a team, they will just repeat the same old cycle of failure they have since Fergie left. United need to stick with a manager as long as they can see him showing signs of development even if they arent winning trophies.
