Weirdly I watched the last 5 mins of the Cardiff match just yesterday. Seeing Ruddy in goal the weekend just got me all nostalgic.

A wonderful, wonderful season.

Beautiful video, Nuno the man we love he created this. That championship team just amazing. His legacy of 5 at the back continues. Our identity

That Cardiff game, didn't get to go but watched it a favourite local in North London.

I'm still barred for my celebrations after the 2nd saved penalty.

Absolutely brilliant match.

Something a little bittersweet about watching that again, realising just how much time has moved on. It's a different generation.

Bonatini, Jota (especially him), Cavaleiro, Doherty, Douglas, Costa, Batth... all gone, all long gone, really. And then, Nuno. Real Nuno. He looks ten, twelve years younger there, full of fight and vigour.

Beautiful memories, but if not for Neves and Coady it would feel like ancient history almost. So, so sad how the threads unravelled to an extent last year, most specifically in regard to Jota and Doherty and then Nuno, but it was more an emotional dip than anything else, and again we're flying high.

There was so much power and energy in that team, it was electric. I think we're only one or two genuine firecracker players away from getting that 'feel' back again, someone with that 'light me up' element Jota and Cav had. Maybe when Neto returns it will be the spark.

The way we played in our cup match against Sheff U last weekend reminded me of those days (and the first Prem season).

The pandemic stole Nuno's soul, unfortunately, as I'm sure it has thousands, if not millions of others.

What a man. And what a season that was. The two that followed weren't bloody bad either.

After being Cruyff turned into oblivion by Cav at 4:05 Stephen Warnock was last seen sliding uncontrollably past the Aberdeen area

It has been an amazing time as a Wolves fan.

I've said it before, but if anyone could stitch something similar together for our 2019/20 season I'd be eternally grateful!

A great watch. But I will always wonder what happened to Nuno. Looking at his smiles, laughter and sheer enthusiasm. Where did it all change for him, last season he looked a shadow of the the man he was. I hope he can regain his love of the game.
Hopefully he’s spending a lot more quality time with his family back in Portugal Frank and recharging his batteries. No doubt had a good payoff from the ****neys so no money worries.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he is managing abroad next season and being the Nuno we loved so much.

I still think Covid just impacted him on a level away from football and he never really recovered. Then when you watch how the Raul stuff affected him as well, i think he just lost his love for the game.

I loved Cav and how he played in that team. Would be perfectly suited to our style now.

That goal Cav scored at Reading  As someone who only gets to a handful of matches a season, delighted that was right in front of us. Something magical about that goal. The second one was unforgettable, too.

Bonatini…could’ve been great, became bilge. I’ll never ever understand that.

Motivation? I almost see it the other way. Amazed that these young men in their mid-20's who already have earned more than most will in their lifetimes, still get motivated to put their bodies on the line each week. Presumably even at Championship level, a decent player would never need to work again?

And Bonitini is a very odd one. Almost the opposite to our current forwards in that (at his best, anyway), you hardly noticed him, but he had that knack of cropping up for the goals. It's easy to dismiss "tap in" goals, but you have to be there. How many "tap ins" have we missed from numerous crosses across the goal this season, when our current forwards are nowhere near? Bonitini was one who would be there for the tap in. Totally guessing, but I don't think he was the most gifted in terms of build and skills, so he made up for it by playing smart. Played only a few minutes in the Premier League and did really well to set up Traore in that injury time winner v West Ham. Also recall him coming on with about 10 mins to go v Burnley and missing a hat trick of straightforward chances - and I think that was the end of it for him.

Anyway, I think if he had the motivation and attitude, he could have been a mid-table Premier League striker. The 8 or 9 goals a season type and a few assists.

The period that we played in prior to the promotion, although a relatively short while, I think in future, will be looked back on in the same way as some of us oldies on here now look back on our heyday in the late 50s.
The way the team played under Nuno then was nothing short of magical.
That video will live forever in our memory and in our hearts.

I've got that video stored on my tablet and must have seen it 50 times.

Never get tired of watching it. Great memories.
