Yep, exactly what every player does every week. And gets the penalty/free kick for it. I agree, it's soft contact. But I don't see why we should see them given for other teams every week, but not for us. Consistency.

We seem to have sunk since that decision.

We can argue about the penalty all we want. We aren't playing well enough - particularly in the pocket between midfield and defence - and we are deservedly behind.

I would argue that the goal changed the momentum and if the penalty had been given and Pope off we would be dominating.

The fact that VAR were so quick to dismiss speaks absolute volumes.
