So maybe that's our next coaching pair.I'd give more credit to Lemina and Dawson than him.

If it was to keep his mouth shut we should get every penny back.Oh right, were you there? What else did they speak about in the meeting?
Also if he was paid to shut his mouth how come he did this interview following his leaving?

Julen Lopetegui exclusive: 'We cried when we left Wolves. Now I'm ready for Premier League return'
In his first interview since leaving Wolves, Julen Lopetegui discusses his exit, what changed and what comes nexttheathletic.com
Ones for the future.. ha..ha..So maybe that's our next coaching pair.
Nah I think I’ll leave it.You really wanna die on this hill huh?

Nuno set to leave Wolves
Wolves can confirm head coach Nuno Espírito Santo will leave the club, by mutual agreement, after Sunday’s match against Manchester United.www.wolves.co.uk
Nuno was also compensated when he left wolves

And 1 in Spain?Yep, pretty lax shut your mouth contract if it allowed an interview with the athletic so shortly after leaving
Personally, I couldn't give a flying **** in this corrupt world of money; he kept us in this division !He did, where did I say it wasn't? He also used the media to manipulate our club, make sure he got a payout and ****ed off 4 days before our first game
Oh okay. I just seem to remember the subject was touched upon when Lop left. I don’t know if any conclusions were made so I made lazy assumptions. It would be a bit of a jip if we got nowt back.
Not always mate. Some are monthly till a new job is found which is why some managers sit on the sidelines for so long. He’d rather join a ****-pot club in the back **** of the desert, than manage a club in arguably the best league in the world, coz he’d have had to put some effort in…speaks volumes about him.
I guess if he goes to Saudi, Wolves get a large chunk of the contract pay-off back?
Great, we both agree that Lopetegui was mutually terminated, just like Nuno. Now maybe you can say that to all the people who keep telling me JL quit? You really wanna die on this hill huh?

Depends on the conditions of the NDA, as if he did the interview in another country or if he can prove wolves breached it their end by responsible for “leaking” or “briefing” the media or even the club themselves making negative or perceived negative comments about him can also see an NDA made unenforceable. If it was to keep his mouth shut we should get every penny back.
With these players, I could've done that.Gary O’Neill could have done that
Hobbs said that Lopetegui had told him after the Celtic game that he was going. Come on, given all JL's antics over the summer and interviews, you're not seriously trying to say that he didn't effectively quit, whatever the face saving words used when he went?Great, we both agree that Lopetegui was mutually terminated, just like Nuno. Good luck to the man who saved us!Hobbs said that Lopetegui had told him after the Celtic game that he was going. Come on, given all JL's antics over the summer and interviews, you're not seriously trying to say that he didn't effectively quit, whatever the face saving words used when he went?
It depends on the club and the coach as to what was agreed. He had a decent amount of time left on his contract so he could easily have said “I’ll stay till I’m sacked” which would have meant 100% payout until he got another job. Though he went mutual consent so I’d say some kind of severance package was agreed where he got say 6 months money but it was guaranteed whether he got another job or not, that way both parties “win”.Don’t pay offs only work if he doesn’t get employed again?
Pretty sure Spurs saved us money when they appointed Nuno?
I really hope this is the case.
It's a mutual termination. Just because Lopetegui's side of that was publicised and the club's side of it wasn't, doesn't mean the club didn't have one. Do you think it's likely Fosun wanted to him to stay after he criticised their ownership multiple times publicly? They would also want to 'save face', as I keep hearing regards Chinese owners. Had he not instigated the end himself (blinked first?), they probably would've sacked him over the bad optics being caused.Hobbs said that Lopetegui had told him after the Celtic game that he was going. But Steve Davis, Dean Saunders and Terry Connor couldn'tWith these players, I could've done that.

Couldn’t agree more with this and whilst I don’t speak for the fan base I’d say a lot of us will forgive a lack of talent if it’s matched with “putting a shift in”. It’s why I couldn’t really take to Nunes, supremely talented but didn’t show enough desire to play for us.Now I can only go with what I saw and what has been reported so its just an opinion but........
He threw his toys out of the pram when he couldn't buy, buy , buy so in the end it was a mutual bye bye bye
I was very MEH when O Neil was appointed , especially after the summer clear out, but what we now lack in quality we make up for with sheer hard work , energy , endeavour and intent.
And they all seem to be enjoying themselves.
Long may it continue.
An obligation to mitigate your losses is standard in pretty much any UK (well England and Wales) contract including those relating to employment.Thinking about it, I’m sure when Nuno left it was reported we agreed to pay him and his staff for a certain time or amount until they found new employment, I can’t remember where I saw/read that though, in which case perhaps there is a clause to do with getting money back or stopping paying if he finds new employment. Guess it’s all about what was negotiated (hopefully that we do get it back)
Got his eyes on Man UtdJL waiting for Prem job. Wow
He can have his eye on it, he won’t get it. The United “fans” will be baying for blood if they don’t get a big name.Got his eyes on Man Utd
Damn!Turns Al Ittihad down, I might start a thread for people who said he was only interested in money to apologise.
He's seeing what happens at Newcastle, I reckon. I said to a West Ham mate over the weekend that they should bite the bullet, sack Moyes and get Lopetegui in before he goes elsewhere. He can have his eye on it, he won’t get it. The United “fans” will be baying for blood if they don’t get a big name.
Why? So the Hammers can have another problem? He's seeing what happens at Newcastle, I reckon. I said to a West Ham mate over the weekend that they should bite the bullet, sack Moyes and get Lopetegui in before he goes elsewhere.
Will Newcastle come in when he's turned down Al Ittihad? Maybe 6 months there would have got him on track for the job! He's seeing what happens at Newcastle, I reckon. I said to a West Ham mate over the weekend that they should bite the bullet, sack Moyes and get Lopetegui in before he goes elsewhere.
I think there’s every chance he’ll be next Newcastle manager. They’re stuttering at the moment albeit due to a massive injury list. He's seeing what happens at Newcastle, I reckon. It would be fantastic but they seem happier to spend large sums than we did. He’s also better than Moyes.I think there’s every chance he’ll be next Newcastle manager. They’re stuttering at the moment albeit due to a massive injury list.
JL to West Ham would be hilarious to watch. If he fell out with Jeff wait till he has to deal with Sullivan !!
Newcastle fans absolutely adore Howe. He will get a long leash imo.I think there’s every chance he’ll be next Newcastle manager. They’re stuttering at the moment albeit due to a massive injury list.
If you were to compare the two careers It's hard to say Lopetegui is the better manager. Both flunked their chance at the top jobs. Both won minor European tournaments. Think they'd be getting a downgrade myself. He's seeing what happens at Newcastle, I reckon. I said to a West Ham mate over the weekend that they should bite the bullet, sack Moyes and get Lopetegui in before he goes elsewhere.
Unless his name is McCarthy. We don't really do ex national team managers at Wolves .
That sums up my feelings entirely.Virtually throughout his tenure I felt there was an undercurrent of doubt regarding his personal investment into Wolves. How many times did we read of journalists asking did he intend to stay. He seemed to perpetuate this doubt in order to get maximum investment support from Fosun. It is totally to his credit that he dragged our team from bottom to a respectable 13th. But in the preseason match against Celtic we were very fortunate that Celtic were a little rusty in front of goal and should have scored multiple times. Subsequently we improved and made a game of it but it was worrying. That was one of the issues with his management. His team's lacked consistency from game to game and team spirit was generally absent. I wish him well but feel he was never a Wolf.
