A chance for us to post our farewell messages to the departed Julen Lopetegui...

Sorry to see you go Julen. You had built up our hopes, and were loved by many on this forum. No matter that you walked out and left us in the lurch, just days before our first difficult fixture. That's an understandable move from such a titan of the game who a club like ours clearly didn't deserve in the first place.
I am sorry that our talented squad wasn't good enough for you, but I am sure you will continue to blaze a highly successful career path away from Molineux, (and if you time things well, should amass a few more handsome payoffs along the way).
Rest assured, we will never forget you, and it's doubtful we will meet your like again.

Julen,

You surely cannot have been naive enough to realise that there would be no money to spend in the summer if you spent lots in January. There is even a bloke on MolMix who lays it all out now and again with explanations of big words like amortisation…

We will desperately miss the passion from the touchline which inspired our players to so many bookings, so much diving and moaning at the referee…

We will also desperately miss the excellent football, dedicated and genuine passion you showed to the club and the fans and your deep kindness in resigning after the Celtic game to allow a week of uncertainty to follow within the club before the eventually leaving..

Mercenary egotist anchor

Maybe. But if Pep or Klopp were told they'd only sign 1 free signing this summer, how long do you think they'd wait before crying to their agent?

Wolves straight up lied to him at a time he was still grieving worried for his Dad and I can't blame him for wanting out after all that.

Wish him well and success at a well run honest club in the future . Wouldnt stand for the lies from Wolves .......fair play to him . Thanks for keeping us up last season . You were never ever close to getting the admiration Nuno got , I doubt you'll ever get that at any club . We don't really do ex national team managers at Wolves .

Thank you for keeping us up Julen and helping to sort out the damage done by the previous managerial appointment.

Sorry that the vision you were sold changed (twice). Seems you were probably a victim of circumstance given the changes to the Chinese economy and the resulting impact on Fosun.

Hope you go well in the future and maybe we’ll come calling again in another 6 years…

…oh and you still should have given Raul minutes in that final home game.

Time will tell if the sarcasm on here is justified.

For my money, did a great job, recruited well and got the team playing in difficult circumstances. Would have pushed well into the top half with some moderate backing. Fosun pulled the rug from under him. Second strong and talented manager we've appointed and couldn't keep happy, back to another yes man.

If Fosun now spend then God knows what it says, but they won't.

Just putting a number of things together, what a ****ing embarrassment that flag was when he said he was going and they were already lining up his successor.

So actually genuinely thanks Julen, sorry our owners didn't deserve you.

Try and bugger off to the desert then where someone might give you unlimited money to spend on players. Fancy being so spineless as to leave us in the lurch 4 days before the season starts. You've never cared for WWFC, we're too beneath someone of your self proclaimed 'talents', you've just taken us for a ride and made sure you've lined yourself, your lad's and your entourage's pockets at the earliest opportunity. Don't ever set foot in our city again.

Thank you Julen for keeping us up and instilling some backbone in a team that was going through the motions under the previous manager. Apologies for the “project” not being what was promised when you took this job.

And also thank you for spending the summer money on another Mendes buy who while talented, is not a goal scorer. And thanks for continuously playing him in a position that should lend itself to scoring goals. Sorry for blindsiding you with the sales of all those players you featured so much, especially Raul. Sorry for leaving you with a squad so **** poor you had to throw your name in the hat for the open Spurs and Saudi gigs, and then do a rogue interview about how poor the squad is. How fortunate were we that any potential transfer business was put on hold while you graciously stuck around for preseason. What ever would we have done if we had a new manager more than a week ahead of the season?

Just the latest example of Lopetegui leaving under a cloud. The guy consistently priorizes himself over his team. Appreciate conditions this summer are rubbish but I would have thought a top manager would back themselves to utilise the £80m worth of talent they procured during January...

His father's still alive, isn't he?
