I have a feeling he is going to have a very good career.

He will yes.

To all those (not you @JOSWolf ) who queried moving his loan from somewhere he was playing every week, to being a "bench warmer" at Northampton, this is living proof of my explanation and WHY Wolves switched his loan. The need to bide his time, take an opportunity when it presents itself at a much higher level. If he's ever to play for Wolves he'll need to do exactly that here - sit on the bench and wait, perform when needed.

Goalkeeper loans are tricky - you go to a low level and play, or take a chance higher up and hope (from our perspective) that the incumbent gets injured. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

BTW I'm not sure if he will play for Wolves, however until players a pushed and given opportunities at ever increasing levels, you'll never know. Certainly wouldn't get that being third/4th choice here and playing the odd u21 game - not to mention that subsequently stunts the development of all those below him.

Louie Moulden played his third consecutive 90mins for Northampton as they drew 2-2 away at Oxford United

Owen Hesketh was an unused sub for Kidderminster as they lost 2-0 at home to Gateshead

No Harry Birtwhistle as Oxford City lost 5-2 at home to Eastleigh. Oxford have conceded 12 goals in the last 3 games and one of those they kept a clean sheet! 73 goals conceded so far this season!

Clean sheet and 90 minutes for Joe Young as Buxton beat Gloucester 2-0.

Owen Farmer had a good game in his 65 min appearance for Rushall as they triumphed over Walsall Wood on penalties in the Walsall Senior Cup

Northampton fans don't seen overly enamoured with Moulden last night, who let one from 25 yards in at his near post last night (albeit he was a bit unsighted). From their forum:

I can't help but think Burge would have saved that.
from what I’ve seen, most shots get past Moulden.
Moulden should not have been beaten so easily at his near post. He did, however, save the day when faced with a one on one clawing away a goalbound lob.

Nothing particularly to worry about though: all this is part of a young 'keeper's development. He's had better reviews for earlier games, though lots of complaints about his kicking, which will really hold him back if he can't improve.

I think the first goal was a fair shout, my first impression was he'd be disappointed with that, however yes he was possibly unsighted and perhaps expecting it to go back across.

However he played well in the first game (second half sub appearance vs Bolton) and kept them in it I think for a draw. Played resonably well last game. Leyton Orient maybe he could have been better with a couple of their 4 goals

Its a killer position though isn't it.... every mistake is visible and 99% of the time ends in a goal, positive moments unless spectacular are often seen as bread and butter. Anywhere else on the pitch, a recovery is possible

Dale possibly going under soon might have had a bearing on things.
Sadly far from the only ones in trouble...

Getting back on topic it seems that we’ve always been good at bringing goalkeepers through and then loaning them out to develop them but never really successful with strikers. Maybe Chiwome will change our track record

What a result that is for Villarreal. I watched them against PSG and they more than held their own. Guedes redeems some of his value and Yerson continues his development. Fantastic.
