Leo Bonatini - Grasshopper Zurich (Swiss Super league)

Dongda He - Beijing Guoan (Chinese Super League) - season long (December 2021)

love this thread I think you need to add the new Hungarian right back also

*Pre season Friendly*

Ruben Vinagre came on in the 11th minute to make his first appearance and was replaced in the 57th minute as Sporting played their second game in 24hrs beating Belenenses 2-1

Is it wise to send two strikers to one club? Fairly likely both won't be starting though i guess we don't really care what happens to Bonatini at this stage

Unlikely they will both start, I agree. Mind you if Campana is fit for more than 10 games in a row I’ll be surprised (and delighted) he hasn’t managed it yet.

Bonatini is currently injured and according to the optimistic timescales given he would miss the first few games of the season, however I suspect it might be longer than that

Dongda He game on with 4 mins to play for Beijing Guoan as they won 2-1 vs Hebei to move up to 2nd in group B of the Chinese Super League. That was He’s 4th appearance so far - all from subs bench

Jobsworth!!!!! :D :D
Ta for the thread. I will be waiting to hopefully see Sanderson added.
Now added for you ;)

Appreciate he’s probably out for a couple of months still but I’m assuming that Buur may well stay back at Wolves now either that or Grasshoppers plan to sell their current right back who has been attracting attention from La Liga

As per above…

Matija Sarkic played 90 mins as Birmingham won 3-0 away at Cheltenham in a pre season friendly

Cardiff City played Cambridge United twice today - 2 fixtures each of 60 minutes, losing 3-0 and drawing 1-1). Ryan Giles started the second fixture and hit the post and had another decent chance later on.

Toti Gomes and Leonardo Campana started for Grasshoppers in their 120 minute pre season game vs Thun, losing 3-2. Campana narrowly missed a couple of chances

Dongda He started his first match for Beijing Guoan, playing 70 minutes in their Chinese Super League match vs Tianjin Tigers. Final score 0-0

**Pre season**

Not strictly a loanee yet but Matija Sarkic played 90 mins as Birmingham City drew 1-1against Barrow.

Ryan Giles starts for Cardiff in their friendly away at FGR -KO 19:00

Ruben Vinagre starts in the bench for Sporting vs Angers - KO 20:00

Why isn’t he a loanee? I thought he’d gone there?

Birmingham still call him a ‘trialist’ and I haven’t seen anything from either team to say he’s on loan… yet

I wonder if we/they are seeing how Etheridge recovers as we wouldn’t be wanting to send him there for a season to play second fiddle and sit on the bench for the full season

Ryan Giles came off the bench in the 61st minute as Cardiff drew 2-2at home to Exeter

Matija Sarkic (still officially on trial - loan due to be confirmed in next couple of days) played 90 mins as Birmingham City lost 3-2 away at Northampton. Sarkic was tackled in his own area allowing Northampton to score their second goal

Grasshoppers went down to a surprise 2-0 defeat in their season opener against Basel. Campana put through his own goal for one of the Basel goals , Bolla played right wingback and Gomes (left centre back in a back 3) also played

Toti Gomes played 90mins and was booked, Bendeguz Bolla played 70 mins and Leonardo Campana played 90 mins and scored an own goal as Grasshoppers got their Super League campaign off to a slow start, losing 2-0 at home to Basel who finished 2nd in the Super League last season. Grasshoppers also lost all their pre season games.

Two Former Wolves - George Margreitter and Christian Herc - also played for Grasshoppers in the defeat

Bolla was lively and had a goal chalked off for offside and Gomes was excellent throughout except he got his pocket picked leading to the second goal. Campana was quite awful; slow, pressed ineffectively and didn't have any impact at all in the final third.

Was it a surprise defeat? Newly promoted against last years runners up.

Highlights here for folks to see

Bolla’s disallowed goal starts at 2:40
Campana’s OG starts at 3:30

Thanks, Giant.

Campana unlucky to slice the ball.

Mind you, if he does that when attacking the goal, lord help us!

Just saw Sarkic’s loan to Brum confirmed on Twitter but then it disappeared again

assuming that’s done now
