I'm not denying that, im saying it's too simplistic to simply spend.

Sorry mate, but no its not, the correlation is definitely there.
Its there because there is also a correlation between size of transfer fee/quality of player, and success.
Man City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Manure will literally be in top 6 every season because of it.

I know people think these managers are geniuses, but I disagree, even with Fergie, because there was no level playing field. He could more or less choose which players he wanted at any point in time from across the country. How is that genius?
