Jeff just gets it doesn’t he? He has grown to know us well. He understands our hopes and dreams as well as our passion and appetite for success. Touching on those players who have been part of the journey is a piece of class.

Above all he is sincere and honest. I think he really is “The Best In The Business”
I agree, always been struck by his 'sincerity' and humble mantre. Of course he is a businessmen primarily, but he is also one of us I feel - hope that doesn't sound too crass.
Of course he is answerable to Fosun, but he does a difficult job extremely well for me.
Very happy with his stewardship.

We won’t always agree on the squad size but we definitely need other options .Realistically we have 14/15 and the rest are squad fillers .Yes some could come in and do a job in the short term but not be regular starters .
We sometimes have to shuffle it about a bit if we lose a player to injury which thankfully doesn’t happen often but my point is we need 1/2 game changers when things aren’t going our way .Players who can offer something a little bit different .
We have brought 1/2 in in the last few windows who didn’t work out ,MGW who hasn’t pushed on and Bennett who we have outgrown .
Nuno knows we need to add to what we have and it either won’t come cheap,we can’t offer Europe and they may not start .
It will be a balancing act but we do need a freshen up

Have absolutely no problem with him as a person or the job he has done, but in the Corporate world don’t believe everything he says....

Whilst the club has ambitions and so far Fosun have met all reasonable expectation, the set up of the Premiere League, legislation (FFP e.g.) etc is so slanted in favour of the so called top 6, really cant ever see Wolves breaking into it and becoming serious contenders for the most major competitions. Nonetheless provided we slowly improve (and most importantly become better to watch) that will be okay with me.

I know it is disappointing not being in Europe again but if we had got in via 6th we would have had to go through the qualifiers again .If we had won the Europa yes we would have been in the CL but not the Group stages initially so we could have met a big team and gone out early .
Of course we may have got through but that isn’t necessarily going to attract players to the club .The right players will come whether we are in Europe or not .We aren’t big enough yet to start picking off the really top players
As others have said year by year improvement is fine by me.

It's probably been mentioned already (I've not read the whole of this thread), but presumably we don't have the additional UEFA FFP constraints to worry about this season. Maybe it's a good opportunity to consolidate/strengthen (I don't expect us to throw money around left, right and centre, but I'd anticipate seeing us strengthen some areas).

It's a bit screwed up that FFP rules are stricter whilst playing in Europe when you need a bigger squad to survive the rigours of the extra matches. I guess this is what we're up against. Hopefully missing out on Europe can work in our favour.

He is Fosuns man doing his job .For some the rumour might make him look two.faced but he said clearly 99 percent of rumours are incorrect.

The more I think about it the more I feel it's come from Traores agent wanting to cash in and get a move to Real or Barca.

It's completely rigged so the big teams can maintain their success. We're fortunate enough to benefit from being a Prem team and the huge money we get from that TV deal but imagine other clubs in Europe who have similar aspirations but don't have such resources. FFP was brought in to control the owners who would take stupid risks with their clubs but as we have seen, there is no flexibility to ambitious clubs who do have the financial resources and ownership groups.

If we'd won the Europa we would have gone straight into the groups of the CL. I was gutted we missed out on Europe this season, last season was so exciting - but, the more you look at the season coming up, not being in Europe probably isn't such a bad thing, especially considering how long last season was.

I think we have a real opportunity to push for the top four if we can improve in the window. I can see both Leicester and Spurs struggling to cope with their workloads and Man U can't get a penalty every week... (can they??!)

Hold on a minute, the transfer summary thread only shows 30 players that we are linked to and Jef says we are only interested In 1%, so what portion of which player do you think we are after?

My friend went to Fuime in wolvo earlier and Jeff was there with 4/5 other people, I asked her to discreetly gt a photo & send it to me, she sent me a photo of Jeff and 2 guys , young foreign looking -- her words not mine ' -- i have a fabulous photo of Jeff But i only have a side view of 2 of the guys he was with, dont want to post the photo as it may well have been just a nice friendly meal, but hopefully signings were being discussed:)

Probably 2 under 18s being accompanied by a legal guardian each. Did they order the jelly and ice cream for dessert to go with Turkey dinosaur, smiley faces and spaghetti hoops as a main?

Refillable Pepsi max, fruit shoots are expensive if they wanted more than one. Got to save the pennies so we can buy a utility player that can cover all 10 outfield positions.

Keep Nuno and the players we already have and add a couple then without the distraction of the Europa Cup we are more than capable of top four. next season. Absolutely delighted with the progress our club is making but of prime importance is the thumping of WBA at the Hawthorns.
I think fans should temper their expectations a little. Top four is a great target that we should aim for. But standing still where we find ourselves will still be progress in my eyes.

To seriously challenge for trophies and be a mainstay in the top half of the premier league for the next five years would suit me.

as it’s clear from the transfer thread that it was Silva and not a freindly dinner. Feel free to post the picture you have. We need to see who the 2nd young foreigner is

Not Pepe and his agent? I have had a few beers so can’t really look back through the thread.
