We buy players based on potential. Them improving they won't improve if they don't play so we loan them out. Most of our players hold a resale value. That is how our club works. Hence the youth policy and lack of older heads. Wallace will be a good player for us but only if he's given a consistent run in the team same for Byrne who I believe is a replacement for Iorfa.

That's just my thoughts, it's well known a host of PL clubs are watching Iorfa 5m+ he's off

think you are correct about Iorfa and if we could get anything substantially more than 5m, I would take it as well.

Morgan is being given an easy ride and so is Moxey despite their terrible performance in their respective roles. The local paper has failed to ask any serious questions about the whole mess and is generally feeble. The post match interviews with Jackett are cringeworthy with no penetrating questions asked. The interviewer seemingly terrified of upsetting the manager.

The team are mid table and not yet near the relegation zone. If the latter happened things would heat up a bit. But for the moment floating in a pool of mediocrity and general stagnation and boredom among supporters and commentators suits the owner and CEO.

I agree - and they haven't got the balls to tell us ... especially as they're soon going to ask people to buy "early" Season Tickets.

We can ask all the questions we like, nobody at the club will front up and answer them honestly imo. All we will get is the fans parliament sanitized answers.

Morgan is the only one at this club who can instigate real change, and I just can't see it happening.

Moxey was brought in for financial matters, as soon as that job was done he should have been downgraded or moved aside so a football man could lead.

$$$$ing joke these owners.

This is the thing.

You bring in a CEO for a specific purpose. To expand, stabilise, rescue the organisation or whatever area they specialise in, and they only tend to stay in the job for a limited number of years. Most succesful CEOs actually choose to leave at that time as they've had long enough to do what they needed to do and the job requirements have now changed.

Jez was brought in to sort out the club financially as it was a bit all over the shop at the time - which in fairness he did. However, having done that, he should have been gone 10 years or so ago, or at the latest when Sir Jack handed the club over, and replaced by someone with the vision and ability implement the kind of strategies demonstrated by the likes of Swansea, Southampton and Albion, with the long term aim of setting up the club in such a way as to give us the best possible chance over over achieving on the pitch. That's the reason that those clubs, and others, have come from a position where they were at various stages far behind us financially and/or in league position but have now left us lagging far behind.

Instead we've plodded along, 'balancing the books' with too many people in too many roles getting far too comfy. We got lucky in that Mick was available when Hoddle walked out but it was his ability and Morgan's initial financial investment that got us promoted - not that we were a well run club with a structure built for the long term.

Who is holding the club to account? I don't expect the fans parliament to as that is something organised and controlled by the club. I expect the local newspaper, who have access to the club to ask the difficult questions but I don't see it happening. The club should be squirming to answer the following:

1. Why don't we have a senior Centre Forward that the manager has confidence in?
2. Why did we spend money on Byrne and Wallace and not play them
3. Why are we unable to identify targets before we sell our best players so that there is a seamless transformation. In some cases we have 12 months notice and most businesses are able to get a replacement in, in that time
4. Even if we can't get a replacement of exactly the same quality we should be able to get someone who has the potential - Sako wasn't anywhere near the player he was when he left when he joined.
5. Why are we letting players go out on loan with a view that their career with Wolves is at an end and then recall them and play them? If they weren't good enough originally (why did we buy them?) what has happened in the interim to get them first team places?
6. Why did we originally loan in an 18 year old to play left wing and loan out a player who actually took the position?
7. Over the last three seasons we have played our best with pace and with Dicko up front stretching the opposition back four so why have we not tried to replace him with a similar player or inject pace in the side? its not as though we haven't had since August to do so. We do not need a slow useless lump up front despite the manager thinking otherwise
8. Why do we go for the same targets over and over again? when will you understand that no means no and if they don't want to come the first time offering an extra pie is unlikely to change their mind. If they do change their mind is it for the right reason or have they been dumped by their first choice and we'll do? if that's the case no thanks
9. We understand that the club is looking to build from the inside through the academy but will that investment remain in place considering the current owner has thrown a tantrum and put the club up for sale?
10. With regard to said owner - will he provide sufficient investment to keep the club out of League 1?

I am sure that there are many other questions fans would have and I know that we are only lowly supporters that are considered lower than amoeba by football administrators, players and national press but I do think we deserve truthful answers and that the local rag should be trying to get them. I for one am sick of being treated like a mushroom.
Wow How times have changed. Nice little reminder.

Yep nice little reminder.

Feb 2016 - Underwhelmed in the Jan window and looking to hold the club to account.

Hopefully 3 short years later and a ride only Disney could dream up.

Feb 2019 - Strengthen an already strong squad for a crack at European Qualification.

Thank you FOSUN.

Those were the days my friend I thought they’d never end,,,

I wonder if we would still be stuck in that mire if Fosun had not taken us on, scary thought. It is incredible what has been achieved, and hopefully more to come.

No need to wonder. Consider it a certainty.
Who would have guessed that Wolvo's fairy god mother would be a Chinese multi conglomerate ;)

Perhaps the Chinese fairy god mother saw @Bawtry Wolf’s thread and said “Protect me now as I must go, beyond the borders of my land, to lend another a helping hand!”

Oh God, I am reduced to lying in bed looking up fairy spells, got to get up....

It must be nearly Sunday now surely?!?
