Basically Guedes wants to go back to Valencia, but they don't have enough money to buy him, so Barca is the most likely option, with a loan with an option to buy.
I hope we tell Barca to do one. Loan with an obligation to buy yes, but otherwise no deal.

Agreed - we got done on Traore which was a ridiculous deal. Obligation to buy at end of loan or forget it. Barcelona are winging it in the transfer market, relying on reputation when their purse is empty. Unless we can get in one of their better young players in any deal can't see any point in talking to them. Re Neves - how are they going to afford him unless they throw in a couple of players Loptegui actually wants? Even with 12 months left on his contract we will surely want £30-35m and there is still hope he might lengthen his contract if the club offer him the fortune he deserves and the team at last picks up points.

Offer Guedes on loan for a fee to Lyons to replace Moussa Dembele who would do us nicely in return and whose contract runs out in the summer.

Agree..
And another thing is, if he's not going to get any gametime with us, we need to get him in the best possible shopping window.
6 months warming Barcas bench will not help. They say they want him as replacement for Depay which sounds like an important role. But then you realise Depay has played 4 games this season and you realise what role Guedes will have.

Another stupid deal, although no doubt it will be defended on here.

Won't go too mad until it's clear nobody is coming the other way but if it's just another loan to a club we should presume won't be able to afford a permanent transfer in the summer then it's truly ridiculous. Again.

Yep what a waster, touted as one of the best... found the Premier League too much for him and so hardly tried for us, but he was happy to sign on a big weekly wage. Happy to see him gone from our club.

I guess the only good thing about this is if he impresses, we may be able to include him in any potential swap for a Benfica player in the Summer…

I was really excited for this signing, but it just hasn’t worked. Never looked like he wanted to be here. I wish him well at Benfica, hopefully we can get a decent amount for him after the loan.

Well, what a shambling disappointment this fella was. Became more obvious with every game how little he wanted to be here. No effort whatsoever, came across as a total mood sponge. Off you go, chap.

Only positive of that is he’s worth a lot less than £27m now.

If he hits some form at Benfica, we might just get our money back in the summer!

If you look on his social media he doesn’t quite seem to have been given the same sort of welcome off the pitch many of the other Portuguese recruits have had.

That could of course be entirely down to him but you could quite easily paint a picture that he came into a squad that’d already turned on the manager (which we know is very very tight knit) as that manager’s golden child.

He does have talent, and I do think he could have fitted into the PL, but for whatever reason it hasn’t worked.

3 managers in the first 5 months of his time here probably hasn’t helped.

When you watch him you can see talent but ultimately it hasn’t worked and we need to move on and move him on.

We dont know what happens off the pitch. He may not have settled in England

Not buying he doesn't look interested. Many players display such body language whilst excelling.

Hope the loan works out for player and club.

We also don't know the terms of the loan so to jump on the club without the details makes no sense.

Wanted to go back to Valencia but that was not possible. Next best thing is another former club Benfica. It seems he doesn't like being out of his comfort zone for whatever reason. Best for all parties concerned. JL doesn't want passengers or shrinking violets as our signings so far prove.

It’s nothing to do with body language, it’s to do with a basic lack of any effort, heart and will to win.

Genuinely, his performance at Stamford Bridge was the most “couldn’t give a ****” display Iv ever seen from a Wolves player in 25 years.

Absolutely delighted he’s going.

No chance.. Roger Johnson looked like he was half baked several times in a Wolves shirt.

In this case I'm in total agreement with him. He was beyond awful that day, he was utterly disinterested. Never seen anything like it. There's rubbish and there's that performance.

This is what happens when you just sign random players because Mendes or your rubbish DoF wants you to. He didn't fit from day 1 and probably wasn't suited.

Could blatantly see he wasn't the type of player we needed or that would do well. Who signed this clown? Stats were debatable, millions ****ed up the wall yet again.
