One thing I learned arguing about this a while ago (which I don't think most people think) is that the relevant moment is when the player first touches the ball in the passing action, not when he last touches it. How mad to even worry about that, but if it changes the selection by one frame then it can change the decision (although probably not in this case).It looks like they are measuring offside before the ball has been kicked by the player making the assist?
