That goal tonight may have edged him ahead of Jimenez in goals to minutes for this season

Fabio Silva is everything Wolves are currently lacking- can score, run the channels and even play with his back to goal. If he is man enough to fight it out with Luke De Jong for game time, he can fight it out with whoever we bring in up front to compete with him too.

18 goals and assists this season at a rate of 1 every 148 mins with 7 of those goal involvements coming in European competition. Well done Fabio- you proved yourself- now come back to Molineux and let us love you.

It was the perfect response from him after not being used at the weekend. If he does force his way into the starting line up (and let's be honest, playing like that he should) it'll be a much better experience for him than having an almost guaranteed starting spot at Anderlecht
Having to work hard to earn and keep his place will be good for him and his development

So just watched those highlights he's definitely put on a yard. Done more than Raul and Costa together in that game.

In Europe

Agrresive really positive link up play, unlucky not to have two assists and finishes a chance

Gahhh why lage why **** it up

Went to the game this evening.
Silva certainly changed things, PSV had been fairly toothless until he came on, with De Jong offering very little.
Silvas added edge and directness, plus PSV changing to be more direct made a big difference.
A lot of time wasting from Seville, that led to quite a few bottles being thrown, and this:
Pretty embarrassing for the guy who ran on!

Doesn't seem like 2 pages ago that Fabio was being slated, now everyone's blowing their beans over him haha.

I've never slated him nor have a large contingent.

Then again there's a few who have slated him continuously regardless, the same few who are now slating Cunha after under ten games in a new league.

That’s the conundrum, if he had stayed he probably wouldn’t have improved

I’d like to see Fabio starting next season along with Sasa get the ball to the wingers and hope they can get on the end of it 4 4 foo** 2 if it works for us lol

Sasas is made of twiglets. Might get 20 mins out of him next season before his legs crumble like bread sticks.

I hope im wrong but feel the team is going to evolve before sasa gets a proper chance

A potential

4-3-1-2 looks tasty

SA
Semedo Dawson Kilman Ran
Neves Nunes (gomes/lemina)
(Podence/sarabia)
Cunha (Neto) Silva

4-2-2-2 in more winnable games

SA
Semedo Dawson Kilman Ran
Neves Nunes
Neto Chiquinho
Cunha Silva

However given we have no idea how many leave in the summer its all up for grabs

Your last point could be used for almost every personnel or team issue we currently have at the club.

But fabio is starting to win headers. His percentiles must be going up. He has bulked up and is still physically developing.

If we were being linked with a 20 year old who'd got 13 goals and 5 assists already this season for Anderlecht/PSV we'd have a 100 pages of excitement and he'd be costing a lot of money. Some are determined to judge a kid who'd just turned 18 for struggling to carry a team that still can't score goals, the price tag is irrelevant as he had no say in that. I'm glad we haven't recalled him as this is exactly what he needs, he has a good goal scoring record with the Portuguese age group sides and now hopefully can have a season of 20+ goals in senior football, the come back confident and firing under Lopetegui preseason.

Honestly, this is so different to my view of silva. He is a centre forward all day.

He is a young, and still developing Raul. He was purchased to develop alongside him, and probably would have done but for Raul’s injury. As it was, he wasn’t yet ready physically or mentally to step into his shoes, especially in a team struggling to score and reliant on Raul’s goals. Since then, physically he developed before he went out on loan, and on loan, his confidence and mentality have developed. If he comes back in the summer, Raul and Costa leave, and he does well in pre season with JL, then he may well be given the 9 shirt.

It doesn’t. It makes you realise what a fantastic learning journey he’s on and why Europe was the best place for him this season.

Which is where he should be, as more game time the better as he is far from the finished product.

But we are in a situation where if we had bought him back in Jan.

A) he would be getting easily as much game time as at PSV.

B) he would decrease our chances of being relegated.

Only thing is being outside of the Prem will give him the space and confidence needed to succeed.

That Fabio Silva looks a good player, wouldn't mind him down the Mol....

I'd be very happy if Fabio and the Coventry striker replace Raul and Costa in next season's squad.

Watched the game last night, runs around a lot , was playing like a winger at times ,,coulda / shoulda timed his run better for the offside assist, but put the ball away when it fell at his feet 7 yards out.
I don't think he's improved much this season, BUT it makes you realise how poor our Jimenez / Cuhna / Costa / Sasa options are
