Real opportunity. Midweek games aren’t ideal for young families or the fans who travel from far away. Would hope for a decent crowd though.
It's a waste with the pricing.

So Brighton have drawn Roma in the Europa League.

Means for them it’s Everton tomorrow, us on Wednesday, Fulham a week Saturday and then Roma a week Thursday.

That is quite the schedule and I hope will mean they be a bit weaker against us!

Roma away for Brighton on March 7th, a week after our game, with Fulham away sandwiched in there as well.

I have a feeling Brighton will put out a relatively weak side. Europe will absolutely be their priority.

Hopefully it picks up after Sunday Phil.
Hopefully, Tony, think they will. Sales should increase next week, helped by fans buying at the ticket office on Sunday. Not sure how many fans Brighton are bringing, 1.5 to 2k perhaps?

Midweek is frustrating as a travelling fan as it means taking holiday from work and arriving home in the early hours, with the added bonus of trying to guess where they want to shut on the M6 for the trip home this week. Being a season ticket holder the FA cup also normally offers me a chance to bring the kids to the game, obviously a midweek and in term time stops this as well.

That shutting of a section of the motorway is a pain in the proverbials and often results in putting at least 30 minutes extra on the journey time as you crawl round a diversion stuck in a convoy of heavy port traffic. The only saving grace is that if the team have won you just about remain cheerful although the thought of that early morning alarm does linger in the background.

Had seen reports a while ago that Brighton had sold about 1.7k.

If you are really lucky they divert you through an area with even more road works and temporary lights.

That is truly appalling. The train infrastructure is broken. The 2 trains I had to London for Spurs (although I had to cancel going, ticket in Spurs' end anyway), both were cancelled.

Surely it's time to renationalise the railways.
Unfortunately not happening while Tory donors and their pals continue to skim off the top.

Think there are 7 train services nationalised at the moment including LNER who are messing the Leeds fans up. Also Network Rail which includes Railtrack is mostly publicly owned. Remember British Rail didn't have the best reputation either. Just seems to be mismanagement whoever runs the transport in this country.

Been the same for donkeys years. People at the top don’t care. My friend works for network rail and in his first 3 months he was asked by his manager if he had booked any time off… He said no. Then was told to take two weeks off on the sick fully paid. Wtf is that all about.

Without getting political, the 6 have had to be bailed out because the private companies were so ****! None have not be nationalised for the 30 years since Major sold them off. They’ve all cost us tax payers a fortune in bail outs. Put simply, Major sold them off so they didn’t cost the tax payer, yet it’s gone wrong. To blame nationalisation would be massively inaccurate

... but the rolling stock IS much nicer than in the BR days.... As well as 'the bosses', a shout out for the unions that constantly hit services with strikes - for quite well paid drivers. (At least a lorry driver has to know where he is going and steer the thing - not issues a train driver has to deal with!)

Funny you only highlight the well paid? Obviously the employees that are on much lower wages and whose terms are being eroded should just bend over and take it! Just accepting things you don’t like is what got us in two world wars eh? I’d much rather live in a country of fighters, but hey lets hope wolves show some bottle against Brighton

Football, not politics please. Take the other discussion to the politics forum if you can be bothered.
