All that possession and only 1 shot on goal. Need to be much sharper on the ball, stop trying to get Henderson involved all the time he slows it down too much.

Andorra surprised me they have some good organisation / shape about them for a team that is defending for 90 mins

This is a turd of a game. Hungary sat in deep and made it hard work, but the A team still carved out a number of opportunities. So glad Henderson isn’t a first choice anymore, he’s a tidier last season Donk.
High hopes for Bellingham though, another decent showing particularly first half.

I wonder if England have ever started a game other than under Southgate /maybe the 50’s, with players from Wolves/Albion/Vila and ex/current Blues in the same team ?

I accept Henderson will be required to do the dirty water carrier work against better opponents but you can see why we have struggled against such limited opposition with his tippy tappy football

that’s what we should have been doing from the start, take people on, make some space and get the shots in.

More quick play, another goal.

4-0 was about right in the end. There was a lot more goals there for the taking but we were too slow with the passing. I know it’s not easy when the other team just defend their box for 90 minutes but still we needed to do more.

Bare minimum we should expect against a very limited team with zero ambition. Respect to Andorra for keeping going though.
Why did Mings get booked?

Mings comes across very well in interviews. He took the stick that the South Bank gave him excellently as well. He was laughing when ‘If Mings can play for England…’ was chanted at him.

Agreed. He was having a wee chuckle when he was getting interviewed after the Scotland v England game at the Euros when the Scotland support were serenading him with a rendition of "you're just a ****e Grant Hanley"! :tearsofjoy: Seems like a good bloke. Mason Mount, however was pure ragin' at being called a ****e Billy Gilmour!

Conor Coady always comes across as a top man and it's often said that you can tell the measure of someone by the company they keep. Coady and Mings have become very good friends, so we are either very wrong about Conor, or Mings is a decent chap too.

Wouldn’t it have been more logical to have followed up Hungary Away with the Poland Away fixture at the weekend and Andorra in midweek ? Less travel and less backwards and forwards for the players in these Covid times .

Great for England perhaps but other teams have to travel too....

They do but England and other top nations tend to get the rub of it when drawing up the fixture schedules. It just made sense that’s all
