Good move for all parties.

4th choice centre half for us at present

They have lost a few players. Not got much money and need a leader.

Will struggle for game with with us.

Apart from the promoted teams not sure anyone in the prem would want him.

Been promoted from the championship

New manager wants to play out from the back

Ticks the boxes for all.

Honestly think this move just makes sense and is right for all parties involved.... He needed a fresh start elsewhere especially after last season no way he could just come back this season and carry on like before imo....

Let's hope we get a decent fee for him aswell!
Spot on

We will have no leaders left at this rate. Anyone else worried about that?

Not particularly. There's Dawson, Lemina & Bentley there.

I'd imagine there will another experienced player coming into help, aswell as some players being able to grow into that role. Looking at the likes of Gomes, Nunes, Cunha & Collins if he stays.

With tonight’s news, we have our answer.

Conor has been a truly fantastic servant of the club and without question, one of the most passionate players to don the shirt in a generation.

His Leadership on the pitch helped us and became a fine ambassador off it.

Best wishes to Conor, Amie and his family!

Yep. Fantastic servant, Captain of our greatest side in a generation and even got to captain the national team as a Wolves player. Leaves with nothing but admiration, thanks and best wishes for the future.

Fully understand why he wanted to leave with the World Cup on the horizon, but I wonder if with the benefit of hindsight, he has any regrets as it has effectively ended his Wolves and Premier League career. A sad end to a great era.

Go well Conor. And thank you.

In my view this is good business for Coady, the total fees received for him (loan + transfer) being around £15M with the potential for another £1M and with Everton picking up his wages for the last 10months.

Thanks for all your time with us Conor, you have been a huge part in our climb out of the Championship and stabilising in the Prem, wishing you every success in your new challenge - except in the event that you play against us :)

I just wonder if Conor did have that chat with JL about his future?

It was supposed to happen.

Just curious.

Wonder if there was an offer on the table from Saudi Arabia.

Sssshhhh, there might still be a loophole.
I guess maybe this is why we were keen to get him back at the end of the loan before other clubs could get their plans in place?

at this moment in time they appear to have no funds available to do anything.
Yes, maybe their 'close relationship with the PL' to comply with FFP means they can't buy anyone even if they're selling him 10 minutes later for a £4m profit?

It's a good deal all round

Coady needs a fresh start.

We need the cash.

And Leicester needs a leader in the dressing room having been a shell of a club last season.

I get some didn't like his comments when joining Everton but it was your standard footballer comments when joining a new club.

£8.5m is a great deal for us. It’s probably right that Conor moves on now, because as much as he’s a great character it won’t be easy for him moving back into the group as former captain etc. Not sure anyone’s really a loser in this move.

It wasnt his comments when joining Everton ..it was his misses/sister comments about him being so unhappy for so long ......

Anyway water under the bridge. ..

Good luck Connor...

We really have pulled their pants down, shame we couldn’t have thrown Semedo in.
