Mostly I’m disappointed in Adama, I think the club have looked after him and he should have shown some loyalty and respect to us and signed a contract.
In fairness I think both ourselves and Adama have handled the situation professionally, it’s just we couldn’t agree a new contract. So the inevitable is going to have to happen.

Frankly l respect your opinion marginally less than that of a Boggie. Who cares what a boring one track knows **** all **** thinks?
Clearly not you, but after all it is a public forum for the opinions of all. I'm not the only one saying it, you're the only one picking out my posts though.

I wonder how much a used Adama duvet cover will fetch on eBay...?

Agree I think he’s been professional, no qualms there. Just wish he’s committed to us.

It is indeed a public forum. You have had a down on Adama, for no obvious reason, ever since he was signed. It does get more than a little tedious.

For what it's worth l am a Wolves fan not an Adama fan. I supported Wolves before he signed, hell before he was born actually, and will continue doing so if and when he goes.

On a slightly separate note, I do wonder once you get to, say, 70-80k a week, what a blind bit of difference any more money would make.

You already have more than you could possibly spend in a lifetime.

Come on Adama, you know it makes sense.

Saddened, gutted, only saw him last week and now he’s gone. When he was on top form an amazing performer - all the fans were singing. I had a tear in my eye when I heard the news.

…..but enough about Meatloaf, may he rest in peace (Bat out of Hell the Musical was last week).

Adama - fastest, quickest acceleration, strongest player I’ve seen, passing/shooting/crossing are all ok (certainly not as bad as portrayed) - if only he had the footballing vision to go with the above.

In the immortal words of meatloaf well two out of three ain’t bad.

Thank you Adama. Good speed.

Now let’s get on with who’s coming in - Sanches, Botman, someone else?
Sanches and Botman are so far out of our league now it’s untrue.

Jeff missed the boat on those two in the summer like he will miss the boat in our targets this year.

What do you expect if you out an accountant in charge of transfers? Yes that right - a manager who walks.

Can’t think of a player more Marmite than Adama, where fans of the same club have such wildly different opinions, perhaps once he is gone, we can focus more on supporting the Wolves.

Indeed, he is so marmite. Spurs are obviously a bigger club with a fantastic ground and fanbase, so those of you saying we shouldn't sell to our rivals........come on it is a significant step up in reality even if not league position, and pay-wise his wages will increase. I don't blame Wolves for not making him our highest-paid player as per his apparent demands, that would have caused great disruption within the squad. I don't like Levy but Spurs are a great club who have a soft underbelly (maybe a bit like us prior to Fosun, but at a lower level).

But Traore will need to perform more consistently there (which I suspect he will do initially) to match their ambitions to get into the top 4, but they have to understand his limitations. In buying Doc, they (Mourinho) seemed to have no understanding of his game at all, or that we were happy for him to leave because of his limitations. Conte is a wily old fox though, but if its true that they want him as wing-back, well I'm not sure he is naturally suited because its his awareness and positional play that sometimes seem all over the place. But he will be a super-sub again who will create those wild moments of excitement, which I will miss greatly. I am very grateful to Adama for the joyful moments he has given us. A lovely, respectful man too.

Float in the nether?

FLOAT IN THE NETHER??

WE’RE 8th in the PREMIER LEAGUE YOU BUFFOON.

Do you remember the endless night of the championship? Jizzing yourself at the thought of signing some injury prone has beens & never weres?

Or even worse years plummeting to the very pits of hell itself?

We’re floating in the nether are we?

Self entitled idiocy.

Good day Sir!
You do realise floating in the nether is doing nothing, neither up nor down.

I see your hysteric as ever, I await your relegation thread if we lose today.

I guess when you predict he’ll be back at Boro in the championship but he actually ends up at at a bigger club than us you’ll probably feel pretty stupid.

You've got some of the stranges takes.

Hypothetically, assuming when your company offers you a bad contract, you'll be signing up immediately because you know, loyalty.

Agree Adama has a wonderful character, only time will tell if Adama will fulfill his potential, I for one hope he becomes the football ball force he has all the attributes to become, football needs a new Messi or Ronaldo, hopefully at some stage Adama will step up.

Selling to your rivals mid season whilst you are in the same hunt as them, should be added for context.

In the summer, sure, the season has just begun, but selling him for pittance during the January window to a team we are competing with for European spots of which would garner far more return is absolutely lunacy, especially as most of us know deep down that Bruno is not going to see a penny.

Least not the message it sends to anyone who wants a Wolves player, as I said, don't expect more than 40 for Neves in the summer, Jeff and co have shown their hand, they couldn't negotiate their way through a wet paper bag in terms of gaining value for a player.

Neto has been out injured a year and no guarantee he will be the player he was.

That’s hypothetical though.

He’s back in training and could as easily come back better.

What isn’t hypothetical is that as it stands, Neto wants to be here.

i do question, if he played for another team like wolves and we were linked would fans on here be so keen on him and passionate that he signed?

People on here have said iwobi is rubbish…. He has more goals and assists than adama in ten more appearances. Demari Gray in an awful Everton team this season alone has as many prem league goals as adama does in all appearances and Grey has more assists in near equal appearances.

Hell even helder Costa has a better ratio of appearances to goals/assists than adama and all I read on here is how crap he is in the prem….. might explain why he went for more money than Adama will. Ivan cavaleiro is only just behind two goals behind him in one third of the appearances.

I don’t think fans would be happy to see us spend the £30 million they say they want for adama when players who cost that and people say are rubbish have actually delivered more than he has in goals and assists….

I assume they’ve already had unofficial contract talks through Mendes as it would be slightly awkward if Adama rocked up and got offered the same deal he was offered here.

Not sure whether I’m gutted or glad it’s all over. Think I’m nearing gutted because we have now lost that player who brings something completely different. I know that stats haven’t been kind to Traore but I’d wager that he’s had a hand (either directly or indirectly) in a decent amount of our goals since he’s been here. Whether that’s been causing panic, being fouled, playing the pass to the assist pass etc, I don’t know.

All I know is that when we line up with him, especially in games where we will need an outlet (like the first half of today’s game, probably) I am
a lot happier and feel a lot better about our chances. Even from the bench it’s a great card to hold back and play when needed. Now it’s like for like changes to the wide men.

I think we all fear he will become the player we know he can be. If Conte is a world class manager then Adama will do it with Cinte or he won’t ever be the player he could be. My personal feeling is, like Zaha, he’s not got the desire to go right to the top. £20m is cheap though, Spurs are stupid to think he can be a rb though, nowhere near disciplined enough

I’ve got the strangest of takes? That’s hilarious.

It’s not comparable. The bloke is already on £43k a week, it’s hardly the same when I’d be happy with an extra £12k a year.

He’s already a multi millionaire and him and his family if they’re sensible will never have any money worries again.

The club have probably offered him £70k to £90k a week and that’s not enough - get real.

In the latter, dark days of Nuno, Neto and Adama gave us glimpses of something other than abject boredom.

Traores stats are there to beat him up, but they don't really tell the full tale. He would have had many more marks in the assists column if Raul hadn't been injured. Adama can only create chances - it's not his fault if no one could finish them.

However, in my opinion he was best used as an impact sub, running at tired legs. But when he was on the pitch the tactic seemed to be 'Get it to Traore' and we became painfully one dimensional.

He's an undoubted talent and he got people off their seats, but this was our final opportunity to get reasonable money for him.
If I'm being honest I think providing the money is reinvested for the benefit of the team and the way Bruno wants it to play then I'll be chuffed.

Like the Jota deal though, it feels right for everyone. If he does well for Spurs I'll be proud of the fact he wore the old gold and gave us some great times, but when he lines up against us he's the opposition - simple as that.

NOW BACK BRUNO, JEFF!
One of the few sensible posts amid the over reaction and wishful thinking . You may be on the wrong forum.

Maybe there is a final twist…

Jeff - Morning Daniel. I know we agreed a price in principle for Adama, but our social media team have assessed the fan feedback and it’s not positive. So I’m sorry but if you want our lad, then you’ll need to offer 30m in cash or it’s no deal.

Daniel - I thought we had a deal <sniff>

And for balance, that is fair.

But we will only get £15m , maybe £10m, in summer and would you prefer we only have £10m or £20m to spend on incomings?

Like you, I would much prefer we progress and get stronger continuously, but I have sort of accepted that we just won't do that after the initial cash splurge in the first few years, but what can we do when the real big boys come in? We have to trade unfortunately.

Its gonna be absolutely heart-breaking when Ruben moves on, but if any realistic bids do come in, he will go too, and although I will have to go onto the valium tablets for depression when he does, he will go with my utmost respect and good wishes. I think its probably inevitable too and never in a million years do I think he will stay much longer. I'd happily trade divorce with Neves staying here forever, thats how much I love him (I suspect thousands of fellow Wolves fans would say and do the same).

Difference is Neves will go for Champions League football but not for the money, which is alright for the champagne socialists.

Tough one.

122 league games for us - 8 goals and 12 assists.

That's a direct goal contribution every 6 games.

Yes stats can be misleading as some games he has only got 15 mins etc, the goal against Utd wasn't a direct assist but he contributed to the goal.

He is so exciting .... but I find he is more frustrating and wasteful than productive.

Would I be sad to see him go? Yes I would, but that is because he could be so much better than he is.

Do I think we should sell? Yes I do as I don't think he will ever get any better than he is. He has had 4 years now yo improve and if anything he has gone backwards.

It’s all relative. Is Traore wealthy enough in the normal person’s eyes? Yes he is.
However, does that mean he shouldn’t use his short career to make as much as he can and also try to play at the highest level possible? No.

Like it or not Spurs will be consistently higher than us and a bigger club than us for many years to come and he can earn more whilst possibly challenging for silverware and play in the CL, giving him more chance of representing Spain regularly.

To keep our players, whether they’re worth the wages or not, we have to either pay more than most or insert crazy release fees so we at least get value for money.
