Hi Joe,I try to explain it apertaining to the Laws of the game.I agree there are grey areas but if a player doesn't deliberately try to make himself bigger and the ball is driven at point blank range it is not an offence.In the Norwich situation it is different because the ball travelled such a big distance and he had a choice to make.Personally I would never hace given that irrespective of how far it travelled because if where it hit him.Foy took the decision he denued a clear goalscoring opportunity which will always be subjective and proves how difficult it is to referee-John.
