muddy mildred! just seen in the mirror hes going leicester on season long loan. Aint true is it?
A swap deal between Wolves striker Kevin Doyle and Leicester forward Martyn Waghorn fell through on transfer deadline day.
The thing with Doyle is that even if he does eventually leave at least you know that whilst he's at Wolves he will still give his all.
Can't do season long loan can they? 93 day emergencies only.
If Doyle leaves... who the $$$$ is gonna score our goals?!?!
Just kidding, love Doyle. But he needs to add goals, otherwise he should be dropped.
Not at all, not so long as he continues to contribute.
Wolves score goals with Kevin Doyle in the team - it really doesn't matter than it isn't him who is scoring them as long as he is contributing to the team, and he's certainly doing that.
His goals will come anyway.
And even if Doyle doesn't score that many if any as long as he is bringing others into play, creating chances for others and providing assists then let him carry on.
People may place a value on him as a forward by how many he scores but for Wolves right now his true value is what he offers the team.
Actually I kinda agree... I just WISH he could score goals again. He did it all the time at Reading. What has changed?
Nail on the head.

Great point.
While I think Sig is pushing him very hard for that starting berth (two assists and two goals now) there's no better for Sig to learn from in terms of bringing team mates into the game, holding up the ball, etc than Doyler.
After far too many cases of poor attitudes and a chronic lack of professionalism from our so-called 'super stars' over the past few seasons, Kevin Doyle's exemplary attitude is also extremely important - he should be a fine influence for the young, inexperienced lads in the squad.
We scored no goals in the two games he wasn't involved in/barely involved in.
In the 4 he started we have scored 11 goals.
And I am pretty sure there can be no season long loans
I think he plays 15 yards deeper now. More of a Rooney than a poacher, but without the scoring instinct

Sums the situation up perfectly. If Doyle is fit he starts, there should be no question.
No way. We already tried that with Karl Henry. No one should be a guaranteed starter.
He's as close to a guaranteed starter as you should have

Like I said: No one should be a guaranteed starter. It sends out the wrong signals.
I think what Burton means is that he considers, as do I, Doyle to be our most important player.
If Siggy keeps scoring and Doyler doesn't he is going to come under pressure. For a player of Doylers calibre I don't think it's acceptable no matter how good his play is for his lack of goals. He has goals in him, he has proved in the past he has. He just needs to find some way of getting into the box more.
Not overlooking the fact that it seems that a deal was put into place that involved Waghorn coming here but Doyle turned it down because he would not take a drop in wages. After far too many cases of poor attitudes and a chronic lack of professionalism from our so-called 'super stars' over the past few seasons, Kevin Doyle's exemplary attitude is also extremely important - he should be a fine influence for the young, inexperienced lads in the squad.
goals scored in the 4 games he has been involved with says a lot for me, and 0 scored when not/hardly involved.
He is a 6.5 million striker playing in the third tier of English football. I think it's more than fair expect a player of Doylers quality to comfortably get around 15 goals in league 1.
