Love those shirts, I never realised we were sponsored by Benjamin Perry, during the dark days.

Here's where the fun begins. If anybody notices any problems with the shirts, especially with the away shirts as I go further back in time, please point it out.

This is a great thread mate. Like most things about the club, the shirts were better in the old days as well. I long for a proper non orange shirt. Sad that when we had one a few years ago, many did not like it. We are not Dundee, Blackpool or Holland, old gold is where it is at

They are two great kits. The top one would be excellent to bring back.

The one with the 'V'?

We wore that when we won Division Three (North). Maybe if we find ourselves in the third tier again next season it could be a good time to bring it back after 80 years

Yes the 'V' one. Could be quite apt if we go down this season.

I rather like the 1925-28 shirt. I would love to see us bring back something like that.

I also like the gold and black diagonal halves, a bit like the Monaco kits. I'm sure I read somewhere that they were supposed to represent 'Out Of Darkness Cometh Light'.

You're correct. That was the inspiration for the colour change from red/white stripes to gold & black

Which Photoshop template do you use to create these mate?

Apart from the Burrda kits and one or two Le Coq kits I made the templates myself.

Amazingly enough I finished all the shirts (well all the ones off the Historical Football Kits website anyway) tonight. I can upload the missing ones tomorrow as it's late and resizing them all will take time I could spend sleeping.

I'm thinking about turning my attention now to the GK shirts.

It would be great if the club let you design some shirts and the supporters could vote on which shirt we would wear ,next season.

Only if I made 1% of the profits on shirt sales.

Besides, all they really have to do is read this thread. People have already said how they like the one from the 20s with the 'V' on, or the one with the thin black stripes from the lates 20s to name but two.

I always played in goal and looking at it now, it's pretty hideous. But at the time I loved this shirt.

All Burrda is utter crap. Cheap $$$$ty manufacturer. I think that brand has cursed Wolves more then the Goodyear shirts were blamed for.

I would love us to go back to having Chaucer, classy, fairly plain and black so that it suits the colour of the shirt. And get rid of Burrda for frankly, whoever!

And lots of people moaned about Chaucer at the time as they were unheard of!
