THE TITLE CONTENDERS:

SG WOLVES is the League favourite, with points on the board - 20 clear of second place - and top of the Form Tables for the past five and ten rounds. He has two Weekly Winners awards, has hit 30+ points 8 times in 29 weeks, and is the only player (apart from the legend that is Baboon and those mathematic outliers who have only played a single week) to average more than 25 points per round. Remain consistent, and the title is his. But... but...

BLAST TYRANT has been there or thereabouts for the entire season, and although recent form has been flaky, it's only in the last few weeks that SG has pulled away, and a 20 point gap is there to be shot at. Most of us know the pain of a single-digit weekly haul, and one banana peel slip from his rival could allow Tyrant to steal in at the death. He's hit 30+ points 7 times, though not (yet) breached the 40 mark.

WONDER BOYO is dangerous, a 3-times weekly winner as of yesterday, and the only player to match SG these past five weeks with 137 points. He's 32 points adrift, but holds the record for the highest ever PL score of 52, set all the way back in week 2. He's a lurker, and lurkers lurk until it's time to stop lurking. Allegedly.

FRANK LINCOLN has suffered the most in recent times, having hit the top of the table a while back but since regressed. However, it's worth remembering his miracle of Week 19, where his 46 point win was 20 points clear of his rivals - all it takes is another strike like that and he's right back in the race. He's one of only four players to have breached 40 points twice, and remains a threat.

CONTRARIAN is going to need to live up to his name if he wants that title, as although recent form is good, a 42-point deficit is likely only going to be clawed back with some unexpected results - and a man brave enough to predict them while others go for the easy option. Is unlucky to only have one weekly win to his credit, as his 49 points in week 2 has only ever been bettered by Wonder Boyo, in the same week.

GIANTWOLF is surely too far back, 52 points down on SG, but he's the second most in-form player over the last ten rounds and he's the only one who can match SG's tally of 8 weeks of 30+ point totals. Top three is well within grasp at this rate.

OH WHEN THE WOLVES has 7 30+ point weeks, and was the joint winner of last summer's Euro Prediction Game, so he knows how to stay the pace. This title is probably gone, but top five is up for grabs.

CHRIS H is the only player other than Wonder Boyo to collect three weekly awards, and will curse indifferent mid-season form, as he was the star at the start of the competition and has excellent form over the last 10 rounds - it was inbetween that let him down.

I for one will not be taking the run in seriously. I was flying high at the beginning when I didn't take it seriously and just vibed my predictions. As I was doing well I took it seriously and then my performances fell off a cliff. Too much overthinking. Since I have been back vibing it, it my form has returned. Long live vibing!

I for one will not be taking the run in seriously. I was flying high at the beginning when I didn't take it seriously and just vibed my predictions. As I was doing well I took it seriously and then my performances fell off a cliff. Too much overthinking. Since I have been back vibing it, it my form has returned. Long live vibing!

Yes, the weekly write ups are brilliant! Really brighten up the week ... especially when Wolves haven't won.

Similar for me with the overthinking. There are web sites that do "percentage predictions" for matches. Done by computer AI so got to be good, innit? Followed those for 3 weeks and they were my worst three weeks. Relegation form. Went back to ignoring the "experts" and winging it by just putting "1-1" for every match where I hadn't a clue and form returned. When you look at some of the crazy, unpredictable real life results, I think it's 99% luck

I never really wanted to be part of it, I was just taken along with it all. As for me, I think this season needs to be written off and build for next season.
Inconsistency is my consistency. But will continue to strive to no be the last of the ‘every week stayers’. Much like the 500-1 nag that completes the grand National 10 minutes after the others have finished.

from having a quick scan across the league table I’ve had14 weeks out of the 29 with scores below 20. So despite 2 weekly wins and not forgetting the unforgettable three way that @SuperGran and @Chris H and I had, it’s been a distinctly average performance
