Wolves have agreed deals to sign 2 young players- defender Ben Goodliffe from @BOREHAM_WOODFC & winger Andrew Harris from @ConquestAcademy

Defender Ben will join Wolves when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the season, while Andrew is available immediately.

I've seen him play this a couple of times this season for Borehamwood's Academy. Looked decent although obviously at a pretty low level.

This is where Thelwell is at home. He should stay recruiting at Academy level and leave the signing of more mature, talented players to someone with a lot more charisma, used to dealing with the big boys, and with a much wider contact base not only in the UK but on the Continent and further afield. IMV. A Sporting Director should have an acknowledged stature in the game with very wide experience. Thelwell is an ex Moxey creation at a time when the club was geared to life as a second rate second division club. Hopefully that will change under Fosun who need to aim for the stars and Boreham Wood FC. So let's get the backroom on a different level that includes the scouting of grass roots talent but which is also comfortable in dealing in the world of Mendes and others when necessary.
