Looks like we're signing him.

The following tweets from Darragh MacAnthony and the FBL72:

Peterborough chairman @DMAC102 has said that Tommy Rowe will be a 'fantastic acquisition' for Wolves should his family live nearby. #WWFC

@DMAC102 · 4h
@ryanjohnd83 @talkSPORTDrive I hear he is Wolves bound pal as has been way for while now. Sorry.

Apologies if anyone has already seen them/knew about them.

1. Don't apologise mate - ever!! ;)
2. Nice one - do follow DMAC but didn't see this.

I don't know enough to know whether to be over the moon or not, so I will just say I am reasonably happy and I am ok with this............!

You know what some people are like NWW so thought it best that I put it :p
He seems to have been one of their best performers in past years, but I can't seem joining just to play second fiddle to Golbourne, so not sure where he would fit in?

Not a problem JOS, happy to post anything useful I find!

Apologies Dews, I didn't think to post there, if a mod wants to lock this then feel free.

If true it frees Jacobs to play attacking CM, acquires a useful 1st team player who will at least make the bench every week plus cover should Mr Sako depart or Goldbourne get injured. Pretty useful really.

I think he used to play left back, but has been converted into more of a winger now, can only think that perhaps Sako is off?

He will not be a replacement for Sako. Nowhere near the same sort of player.

Believe he can play in central midfield as well. Useful to have a decent left-footed alternative there.

Fact or just an opinion? I was just going on the fact that he's more of a winger these days, and why would he come here just to sit on our bench? Although it would be good to have more options there as we're a bit light on wingers with experience.

He will not be a replacement for Sako. Nowhere near the same sort of player.

Doesn't mean he won't replace him mate. For what it's worth, I don't think he will either, but just because they're not the same sort of player doesn't mean he won't replace him.

The Dutch Winger we are rumoured to be after would be the sort of player to replace Sako. I think Sako will stay though.
Rowe will be a good signing though after what I have read about him.

You mean he actually holds on to possession and does'nt give it away too cheaply

Sorry lads, couldnt resist .... I know Sako is a sacred cow around here, one of the untouchables!! I apologise.

You serious?

Check his goals and assists for last two seasons.

So basically contributed over 40 goals. Not a bad return for a wideman really.

Now compare that with Kevin Doyle...

Last season: 9 goals & 6 assists.
This season: 3 goals & 1 assist.

I know Doyle hasn't played as many this season, actually, never mind just Doyle, all our strikers, I think looking at it like that, Sako has been a fantastic source of goals/assists.

Tommy Rowe scored a decent goal against us in that horrible 0-3 defeat at home to Peterborough last season.

A decent player that can cover both LB and LM, probably not a starter but adds cover in an area where it's needed.
