Got 1 mill subs at prob £5 a pop on avg. £5m a month. £60m annually. Nice little profit on that when your overheads are literally journalist salary, expenses and web developers.

Pretty pointless if you’re after transfer rumours (since you mentioned the transfer windows).
It’s not that.
Quality of the writing, generally excellent. Proofreading not so much.

I used to buy the Times every Monday for ‘the game’ supplement. For the articles and editorials, match reports with a sprinkling of the polysyllabic.
Bit like that but everyday, and without the match reports. There will usually be an article on most matches, but it will be centred on a theme within that match, be that human interest, statistical or tactical analysis.
If you tend to read and enjoy the kind of long read pieces you get in broadsheet Sunday or sports supplements, then you’d enjoy it.
