Stoke struggle with diagonal balls from the midfield hitting fast pace wingers.

It pulls them out of shape at the back.

Henry never shoots, he is good a playing the ball, tough in the tackle. Why not put him at centre back?

I'd drop Johnson again for last weekend's performance and that would allow Zubar and Foley both to play.

Milias over Doyle due to his performance last night and keep Davis in the team.

Change the full backs. They make any combination of centre halves look awful and are the main reason our defence is so dire.

I prefer 4-5-1, but at the moment we need to get at them a bit, so I would go with that team, but with SEB instead of Doyle.

as per usual i advocate high tempo simple pass and move, keep it on the floor. plus as we are playing stoke keep it on the ground and dont expect to win much in the air.

It may look daft and outdated but something has improved Wigan recently! Ward not been great at full back, Zubar loves to bomb on, Davis and Henry available to cover, 3 big centre halves to deal with the high ball and 4 (5 if you include Fletcher) when attacking set pieces!

Interesting and perhaps worth a go v Stoke, but the changes to the system would confuse our lot so much that it would probably be counterproductive
