It is 6 out and 7 in over two windows, with virtually no net spend. Soucek was an absolute bargain.

We have Mir and Otasowie and rui patricio out Sa, Ait-Nouri, Mosquera, Trincao. We are on course to match that "lot of dealings" over the course of the season.

Why oh why do we do it?

At the start of the window, Jeff & Bruno should either say absolutely nothing except 'wait and see', or they should say 'we are entirely happy with the squad as it stands'. At least then we would not have expectations raised to unrealistic levels of "3-4 quality players coming in". We could just wait and be hugely pleased and positive if one or two DO arrive....

To speak as they did, but not have players and clubs very much lined up and 'oven ready' is a HUGE own-goal in terms of PR. Who on earth advises them??

Why on earth should our manager not say it exactly how it is and what he needs to make us successful.

Kiefer ****ing Moore, we've gone from chasing Botman and Caleta-Car to saying nah **** it lets get a 29 year old bruiser from the Championship. Moore isn't quite as bad as is being made out, if we were in the Championship I'd be quite happy with him signing, but he's 29, so no resale value which according to this place is bad, it's 10 million less in the kitty which could have gone towards another signing or kept until January, and do we need another striker anyway?

Spot on, you hire a manager for the reason to make the players better and the club more successful, he will then say what he needs to do that. The Chairman should then meet those needs, if not they have failed their end of the bargain.

If you are saying the outs then you must include Vinage, Vitinha, Cutrone, the statue that was Willian Jose, at the minimum.

One season with Cardiff, then it’s been league 1 with occasional sojourns into the Championship.
Lage was saying “Top players” and we then present him with Kieffer Moore - what the hell will he be thinking?
it’s ok saying bring him on for the last 20 minutes, that’s when we are usually subbing Adama off!

The underlying issue with this is, if we have a mediocre season again it gets even harder to attract players. If we sell Traore or Raul or Neves to fund players it gets even harder still to convince players to come to us as we lose marquee players that put us just a bit above the rest.

This smacks of real desperation.

They said from the start that it was going to be difficult doing business, that they would have to sell to buy. That they had to be creative in the market. Since then we have had 4 ins, and have been trying to get the midfielder with the profile that we all desperately want.
We were never going to blow the competition out of the water; I don't understand where this expectation has come from.
