The opening post says 'I assume this is etc'
But there's no confirmation or otherwise.

Anyone clarify please and thanks.

.

"Within the time I’ve worked at Wolves I’ve managed the first team loan and exit group, provided support to U23’s working with the Defensive unit and individuals, assisted the lead U18 coach and currently the Lead coach of the U18 Development Programme."

While I think Davis is a solid enough pair of hands for a game or two while a new manager is hired he has a managerial win record of less than 30% in over 300 games. We need someone with a proven track record of managing at the highest level and getting the best out of elite players like a Lopetegui or Emery.

On a different note, will Tony Roberts also be in the dugout in the weekend. Undefeated against Chelsea of course…

If we beat Chelsea 4-0 I'd definitely give him another week !

Yes roberts should be there, unless we have signed a new manager and they have asked roberts to leave

Collins and Davis will remain they are a different part of the staff.

Its only roberts up for question right now.
I’d say 50/50 on Roberts staying. Depends if the new coach has an attachment to a particular goalkeeping coach. From my understanding he’s pretty well thought of at wolves.

I’d imagine that Sa will be sounded out on the quiet by the powers that be including a new coach about Roberts. GK is such a specialist position that you want a coach the senior keeper is happy with, especially a keeper who’s been so influential since he came

Roberts is very well liked. Only question would be whether JL -who I think was a goalkeeper himself- has a specific vision for GK training.

He plays a pretty high line with a sweeper keeper so hopefully not too much will change, as you say Roberts is well liked in the group and we need some sort of continuity mid season in coaching changes.

People seem to be getting a little carried away over a guy who's now in his late 50s & never managed above League One (Third Division) level; who ultimately failed (only 30% win percentage & relegation to League Two) & was sacked by Crewe & whose career then continued on a downward trajectory with a sacking at Leyton Orient in the National League after 22 games.
I didn't know all this and I think talk of him being our next manager is somewhat premature! We need a guy who will attract top players; not sure he fits this criteria!

Leave them where they are, they're doing excellent jobs.

If we want to see them at the next level, i guess we could let them manage Grasshoppers

Don't say that. I saw a couple of Leyton Orient matches when he was in charge and despite him having the largest budget in the National League at the time, they were hopeless. They sacked him before things got worse. I don't recall his record at Crewe being anything special either.

I’m certainly not advocating it, just got a worried feeling about this.

Sincerely hope I’m wrong and we see Tuchel or Pochettino appointed Wolves manager.

Sadly I think Davis is the most likely of the three.

Agreed.
His appointment wouldn't attract top players.
We need Poinchetto or someone of similar calibre.
Just hope Jeff doesn't faff around.
Get the appointment done PDQ!!

Upto 9 (?) of our team could win the World Cup for Portugal, and 3 more an outside chance of playing for Spain. *

What does any manager really need to tell them, with a 3000 strong, re-invigorated Wolf away pack baying them on.

"Team on notice board lads. Go play!"

*...and Southgate needs to apply his brain to the Max.
Not really, chances are it will only be Sa, Neves and Nunes. Injuries, form and age probably rule the rest out.

Not sure the worlds best footballers will be lured by Steve Davis. They might by someone of Lopetuigi’s stature though.

He'd only need a red and a pink to have more points than us :(
