This one… This is at least 1,000/1. I’ll be astonished if anyone gets this right. What will be the Wolves starting XI for the first game of the 22/23 season? Four at the back? Neves stays or goes? A shock transfer or two? Raul replaced? Adama back? MGW back?

We desperately need a dynamic central midfielder. That's a must.

I'd like to see MGW given a serious run. Don't care whether we go 2 or 3 in central defense provided we get that midfielder in. Up top it really depends on whether Neto and Pod are going to be fit, because they're easily top half PL players... we definitely need a centre forward, but we also need rid of Hwang (arguably) and Trincao (definitely), which might leave us a bit light up top so possible another Mendes brat. And all that's on the assumption that Neves stays.

I like this minimalist take on our Summer transfer business. Even if we were to lose Ruddy, Saiss, Moutinho and Marcal on frees, as long as we spent the Traore, Ronan, Campana money on Palhinha, I think we would be fine for the new season.

Beyond that, it is up to Guo and Jeff as to how far they want to push it. In my opinion, this squad stays nicely mid table with minimal investment.
