Is anyone on the 20th cruise, getting a bit worried that not yet had the booking number through yet. Got the acknowledgement but nothing since?
It comes about a week before about the same time you get another email to access a covid test. Costs about £40 then royal Caribbean give you £100 credit to spend onboard.

I got my details, through my COVID-19 testing email! I am very surprised at how long it took, BUT from wanting to make myself at ease and through watching a few vids about the Cruise, I am massively looking forward to boarding on Friday - hopefully leaving it nice and sparkly, for yourself and others a week Wednesday ;)

Also Royal Caribbean show Sport24, which is a special Sports Channel for Cruises and Airlines by IMG Productions.

Sadly they are NOT showing the Villa game next Saturday, with Wolves next one being for Everton on Nov 1st.

We will be on the ship for the Leeds game..
Shame they are not showing that either given they are now sponsors.
Anyone bid to upgrade successfully yet?

I’ve never been on a cruise, although I’ve been on ferries that have docked a few hours late due to it being too rough to enter the port; plates smashing in the canteen and car alarms going off, so I’ve always imagined a cruise being not too dissimilar! Hopefully you’ll see it differently and I hope you have good WiFi to keep us up-to-date in what a WolfPack cruise is actually like!

Bon Voyage!

I hope that anyone heading on board, from today until Sunday has a fun time!

Anthem of the Seas is a simply impressive cruise ship, with it being the 16th joint biggest in the world, it holding the largest indoor active space on any cruise liner where folks can play bumper cars, football and others, having a room with 270 Degree views of the sea at the back of the liner, a running track going around the outside of Deck 15 and on average sees 18,700 beers consumed per week. I suspect after Villa, a fair few were by us!

And bumping into the number of Wolves fans I did - particuarly after Saturday's sublime highway robbery was a great feeling.

Fingers crossed Wolves can make this a partnership, which can become long term, gives opportunity and with RCI being an American firm - can help in the plan of cracking North America!

P.S: For the 2022 season, Anthem will be based at Southampton between May 13th-October 17th.

Looks like some of the Wolves media team are on board this week and if you’re on Instagram they want you to reach out and let them know as they may “have a few surprises for you”

Edit… Steve Bull and Andy Thompson are also on board today

Never wanted to go on a cruise, wife had to convince me - had an amazing time. Lot to be said for waking up in a different location every day - absolutely knackering though, very active holiday if you want it to be.

Gutted our NCL cruise was cancelled twice - hope to do something next year.

I was the same, thought it was an old persons game, but I loved it as a novelty and didn't go stir crazy. Probably wouldn't go again until i was a bit older, and i'd get an outside cabin with a balcony.
We did Sydney up to Fiji via a few islands, it pulled out at night past the Opera House blasting out AC/DC...very cool. We got the Oasis of the Seas...it was monstrous big, i didn't know you could get ships that big.
I ended up grabbing a spot at the back of the ship each day and just sunbathed watching the wake of the ship as it disappeared into the distance, very relaxing.

I like the idea of coming home from Australia on a cruise ship doing the Far and Middle East, then cruising on through Suez and the Med. I remember Sir Jack did that route once and was at sea for months, but you need the time and the money. If you work out the price compared to staying in hotels it's very reasonable, as you get fed as well.

They are a fatties dream though, never seen such a bunch of greedy *******s in my entire life. The amount of buffet food was beyond belief, food for 6000 people and instant replacement of anything empty.
Breakfast is replaced by cakes is replaced by lunch is replaced by cakes is replaced by dinner. When they're in the 20 minutes empty slot between servings you can get ice cream or make yourself a burger. And still people were trying to sneak out plates of cakes and biscuits to take them back to their cabins....

Here's a snap of Bully and Thommo, doing a Q&A with Anthem of the Seas Director Joff Eaton this morning in the 270 room, who joked on Monday that his side in Pompey would be battered again this week and so they were! :tearsofjoy:

just sounds really grim stuck on a ****ing boat with all those fatty chavs for a week or 2. I couldn't handle it.

Yes, it's very noisy and very busy...so unless you're really getting on in life there's a lack of other places to go, unless you like playing dominoes, bridge, gambling in the casino, sitting in the library or staying in the adult bar.
There are different companies, Royal Caribbean and Carnival go for mass market appeal and huge ships that just move around the world following the summer seasons.
We were told that Princess cruises are supposed to be a little better but a bit more expensive, less passenger density, better food with more choice of "non-buffet" restaurants. Larger groups with kids will be less interested in paying more for these, hence ...peace and quiet.

If you get a beginning or end of season off-peak deal when the ship is re-positioning with a new crew, some of these deals are almost cheaper than staying at home. There are no cruise ships allowed to dock in Australia or New Zealand right now, so lots of ships floating around the northern hemisphere winter with nowhere to go.
