If thats the case, you would have thought he would have had the Op immediately this season ended, not 3 weeks later.

Probably thought he could manage it for the competitive internationals. Only got called up for the friendly squads and then decided to have the surgery.

If the surgery restores him completely and he gets a full pre-season he could play an important role for us

He looked really sharp last pre-season before his groin injury to be fair, never really looked fully fit after it
