Nigel Adkins is another one tipped for big things after what he did at Southampton but hasn't really done much since. You know English coaching is at a low when Allardyce and Bruce were considered the best two options for England.

Managers once regarded quite highly often drift off and the lower leagues have a few managers that have managed at a higher level but never really made it consistently at the top level.
