Accurate post Richard. Glad you clarified what I said about the West Ham game. A lot of Wolves fans did'nt/don't know about that as most were not in the ground at 2.30pm, tends to be kids who got in early not lads.

Chelsea games were indeed terrible those days.

I also went to the Forest away game in 1976, three of us drove over, and if I remember right Manure were at Derby that day and the traffic was horrendous, anyway we got to the city ground after the kick-off. As we approached the ground Wolves fans were coming out of the ground covered in blood, they gave us the good news that it was 1-0 to us but that it was mayhem. We decided to go in and I wore a Liverpool silk scarf to put them off the scent !(I had swopped it with a scouser in the Greyhound after the last game of the previous season-it was a Eufa winners scarf). we stood in the main stand, the old one that is still there, to the right of the trent end , looking onto the pitch from said end and saw the Wolves fans go onto the pitch and be escorted around it. We also kept quiet for all the goals but forgot ourselves when we saved the penalty ! after the game we walked back to the car, slammed the doors one by one and went mental (Just like Fools and Horses- when they become millionaires). I was under the South bank by the teabar at half-time for the return. Great game which we won 2-0 ?

I was at the West Ham game when they came in the North Bank, it was early doors and there wasn't a lot in, I managed to get one arrested as I hung onto his scarf over a crash barrier and he got nicked.

I went to Reading when Chelsea turned up, luckily again we were queuing to go in when they announced their arrival, we held back and went in later when segregation had been sorted, I too hated Chelsea for years! I had missed the home game as I was on holiday in Weymouth.

I was also at the Arsenal cup game and it was embarrassing, we were stood on the right of the clock end, Arsenal were in the middle and Chelsea turned up as their game had been postponed (Burnley?)and stood to the left. A few of them also went in the North bank and it kicked off. We had a quick gate at 1-1 and were in the car when Mcdonald scored the winner. Bet the tube was fun after !

That 76-77 promotion season was my favourite season of all-time. Epic away games like Blackpool away (2-2) Hereford (6-1), Charlton (1-1), Cardiff (2-2)Plymouth (0-0), Blackburn (2-0) and to cap it all, Notlob (1-0)
