It says it's not available but just click it anyway and it works.

Reminds me, I have the official VHS somewhere.
“Happy New Year” we sang to the Geordies as they left early. I recall the stadium announcer asking us to bring our reserve team next year. The disbelief in the coaches on the way back to the airport (Newcastle were a pretty good side that season). Singing on the planes.
You have to remember the context of all of this. We’d nearly gone out of business. Twice. But we’d won back to back championships and had an England centre forward who’d be off to the World Cup soon. Those truly were the days, my friends.

I was recovering from the new year celebrations, but Bully soon brought me round...

Hired a car ( mine was an old knacker) and 4 of us aged 20 made a long new year weekend in Edinburgh and Newcastle.
Wearing green Quazer Bully track suit.
Tried to get in Hibs Hearts derby told by Police to get the **** away from hearts fans before they lynch us.

Travelled on Hatherton coach.... Was at a NYE party in Tettenhall 45 mins begobe coaches left... Couldn't get a taxi for love nor money... Flagged down an old woman who dropped me to the coaches.... Slept all way there and all the way back.... Enjoyed my 2.5 hours there though.... Remember joining in with the Geordies singing sack the board.... One of my favourite games...

We travelled without tickets to meet Albert and Muriel outside the ground. Mother came too- her previous football match was to watch George Best for Man U. Great great day.

I remember the air stewardess doing the safety briefing before the flight. They were demonstrating how to open and close the seat belt when someone at the back shouted “bloody hell, love, we’re not Albion fans, you know”. Cue much laughter and an abandoned briefing.

Iirc we travelled up with the Cannock Wolves supporters club) could be wrong on that part though). It's was an unbelievable day. Bully's performance was brilliant, but at the same time Cookie ran the show that day, and Kendall produced some crucial saves when Newcastle could easily have taken the lead.

I wasn't there- was amazingly drunk with my mates in pubs around Heswall in the Wirral. Heard the score as it happened- and did desperately silly 17 year old stuff as you did back then. Great day though. All I used to wear at that time was Wolves shirts when going out- thought I was 'unique', which apparently means ******** in Latin- but I really was a cool dude in my raddled head. Good times, though.

To answer the question - Yes, I was there!!

My favourite game, which I still go on about, nearly 30 years later.

Bully's 4 goals was something just straight out of Roy of the Rovers. And it may only have been the Second Division, but hats off to the Geordies, St James Park always gets big crowds and great support. And they know their football.
I remember after his fourth (I was in the home section), the applause and compliments from the Newcastle fans. That kind of thing does not happen often, but it is special when it does.

Another who was there and at Chorley, so does that make me a superfan?

Fantastic but very long day. Singing at Birmingham airport was loud. I was on the plane with central news. Drunk Santa was Kev from Codsall.
They escorted the coaches through Newcastle like some military operation, closing most the other roads off and letting us through!
Never been to a game since that had so many drunk people!
Fantastic day and a great time to be following Wolves home and away. Like others have said those were the days.....

From memory, the police were fantastic for the era (we have to remember what policing was like then).
Joined in the party atmosphere. I didn’t see one jot of aggro.

Couldn’t afford the plane. But five mates went and featured on central news the following day. None of them go to the games anymore. So are they super fans or not? Need to know as it’s a burning issue and keeping me awake at night.
